How to deal with acne scars

Acne scars are actually acne marks left by acne, and these ugly acne marks are also what make many people entangled and distressed. Therefore, if you want to effectively remove these acne marks, you must pay attention to prevention, and at the same time, you must also grasp the best time to remove acne marks.

1. Don’t forget to improve old acne scars

Acne usually leaves marks on the face, deep or shallow spots, which are very annoying. It's like a scar on the face, which is difficult to erase. No matter how it is treated, it cannot return to its original state, it can only be improved. Acne scars that are large and uneven on the skin can be smoothed out with lasers, just like planing an uneven piece of wood, removing excess skin and narrowing the surface gap. However, laser is not the only way to treat old acne scars. If it is sharp and deep, it is better to simply remove it surgically or transplant skin from the patient to fill it, which will be more effective.

2. Prevention is better than cure

Many people believe that it is okay to have acne when they are young, as the skin will naturally return to normal once puberty is over. This misconception has ruined many young people’s skin! In fact, once acne scars are formed, they will leave permanent marks on the face. Therefore, dermatologists have repeatedly emphasized that no treatment method is as effective as “fighting acne” from the source.

3. Seize the golden time for de-printing

To save fair skin, people with acne must seize the golden period of 2 months after acne scars appear. When acne becomes inflamed, it will damage the epidermal structure of the skin, and in severe cases it will also affect the dermis and subcutaneous tissue. At this time, the skin activates its repair mechanism, which usually takes 3-6 months to stabilize. Therefore, if acne scars are treated early within 2 months of appearance, the damage to the tissue can be minimized and even the original smoothness and fineness can be restored.

4. Pay attention to special physical conditions

People with keloid tendencies should be especially cautious when dealing with acne scars. Keloid lesions are common on the chin, chest, back, arms and other parts of the body. Because this body type is prone to scar proliferation, if it is not treated properly, after the acne heals, red lumps will grow on the wound, and the area may even be larger than the original acne.
