Everyone knows that a person's image and temperament are very important, especially in the workplace, this is even more important. However, some skin diseases can cause great harm to people's image. For example, tinea versicolor on the face is a very torturous thing and is also a problem that patients are very worried about. So, what should you do if ringworm appears on your face? Let’s take a look at the following introduction to some of the conditions surrounding this disease. Wind tinea generally refers to wind-heat sore, which is an acute self-limiting skin disease with macules as red as roses and scaling like chaff. It is also known as blood sore, wind ringworm, mother-child sore, etc., and can be seen in pityriasis rosea in modern medicine. Clinical manifestations of tinea versicolor: It often starts with an oval or round, light red or yellow-red scaly patch the size of a fingernail or slightly larger than the root of a fingernail, with slightly raised edges and covered with bran-like scales. It is called the mother patch, herald patch, or primary patch and is often ignored by patients. About 1 to 2 weeks after the appearance of the mother spot, smaller erythema with the same morphology as the mother spot appears in batches on the trunk and proximal limbs. These are called daughter spots or secondary spots. The lesions are horizontally elliptical, with their long axis consistent with the direction of the skin texture, with slight fine wrinkles in the center, clear boundaries, irregular edges, slightly serrated, and most of them are isolated and not fused with each other. After the daughter spots appear, the mother spots turn darker, go through a neutral drying process, and have no tendency to become moist. When fading, it starts from the center, turning from yellow-red to yellow-brown, light brown and then disappears. After the inflammation at the edge subsides, scales form a ring around the center, which is very similar to tinea corporis. Atypical skin lesions may be papules, wheals, blisters, and purpura, but these are rare. The treatment mainly relies on topical antifungal drugs. Due to fungal infection, it is easy to relapse if the medication is stopped after the symptoms disappear, so the treatment course must be sufficient. Commonly used drugs include Daktarin, Picon Cream, Dexamethasone Ointment and other drugs with less irritation. The treatment must be thorough. After the symptoms disappear, continue to use the medication for about a week, otherwise it is easy to relapse. Pay attention to skin cleanliness and hygiene to avoid external attacks of wind-cold. Avoid washing the skin with hot water, scratching, and using irritating topical medications. Avoid spicy and fishy foods. What should I do if ringworm appears on my face? We have given you a relatively detailed introduction to the symptoms of tinea versicolor. I hope you now have a better understanding of it. Once a patient is diagnosed with tinea versicolor, he or she should receive professional treatment in a regular hospital in a timely manner so that the patient's condition can be controlled in time. Pay attention to skin hygiene in daily life and do not scratch your skin. |
