What are the types of facial plastic surgery?

Nowadays, both men and women are very pursuing beauty. But not everyone is born beautiful. Therefore, more and more people choose to undergo plastic surgery to make themselves more beautiful. But there are still some people who don’t know much about facial plastic surgery, so let me introduce it to you below.

From a clinical perspective, the main factor that affects appearance and facial contour is the morphology of hard and soft tissue structures. The so-called hard tissue is bones, and the most obvious influence on facial contours are the mandibular angle, cheekbones, etc. Soft tissue includes skin, muscles, subcutaneous fat, buccal fat pad, masseter muscle, etc.

Face slimming surgery actually achieves the main purpose of repairing facial contours by adjusting the height and thickness of soft and hard tissues. The most direct and effective way to trim and reshape the face is through cosmetic surgery. Different facial plastic surgery methods can be selected according to different face shapes and requirements. For those whose lower face is too wide (square face, T-shaped face) due to enlarged and everted mandibular angle, and whose facial contour lines are too straight and hard, moderately cutting or grinding the bones in these particularly protruding parts can make the facial lines softer and smoother, adding a charming feminine touch.

Osteotomy correction surgery basically targets problems with facial bones such as the mandibular angle and zygomatic bone. From the perspective of the intraoral approach, the biggest advantage of corrective osteotomy surgery is that it does not leave any surgical traces. The entire corrective osteotomy surgery takes about 2 hours, and the postoperative recovery period requires 7-10 days of rest. Usually, buccal fat pad removal and masseter muscle removal are both performed through the oral opening. A 2.5 cm long incision is made in the mucosa opposite the first and second molars, and the cheek is exposed about 1 cm below the opening of the parotid duct.

Facial plastic surgery is very risky to a certain extent. Therefore, it is best not to try plastic surgery lightly, otherwise you may not become more beautiful, but make yourself look even uglier. If you want to have plastic surgery, you must choose a regular large hospital.
