The right steps for your daily skin care routine

The epidermis and dermis are closely related to the external condition of the skin. The epidermis is the outermost layer of the skin, which can be constantly regenerated and is directly related to acne, dullness, and pigmentation. The dermis is mainly composed of collagen and elastic fibers, and is an important part that is directly related to skin aging.

However, no matter what age group, whether you have oily or dry skin, whether you have acne or are sensitive... In short, in any case, you need to do adequate basic skin care: cleansing, conditioning, toning, balanced moisturizing, and protection. These five steps are indispensable.

1. Step 1: Cleaning

1) The role of cleansing: Skin cleansing is the most important basis for skin care. It includes makeup removal and daily cleansing. Usually, makeup is removed before cleansing. Cleansing once in the morning and once in the evening can gently and thoroughly remove makeup, excess oil and dirt from your face.

2) Makeup removal is an important step before cleansing, especially after using foundation, primer, makeup, and waterproof sunscreen. When removing residual makeup on your face, pay attention to the fact that the skin around the eyes and lips is the most delicate, so be gentle with your technique.

A Eye Makeup Remover

The skin around the eyes and the eyeballs are very delicate, and at the same time, eye makeup is relatively waterproof. Therefore, you should use a special eye makeup remover, which can gently and thoroughly remove eye makeup without irritating the eyes.

Dip a cotton pad into a coin-sized amount of refreshing makeup remover and gently press on the eyes for 20 seconds to dissolve the waterproof components on the eyelashes and eyeliner. Use a cotton pad to gently remove eye makeup from top to bottom as shown in the left picture, staying for 5 seconds each time you pass the root of the eyelashes.

Fold the cotton pad into four and wipe the makeup residue on the eyelash root, eyeliner and eyelid folds back and forth with the folded corner perpendicular to the eye. Finally, fold the cotton pad over and use the clean side to gently apply outwards to remove eye shadow and eyebrows. Repeat steps if necessary.

B Lip Makeup Remover

Pour makeup remover onto cotton pad and gently apply it on lips, pressing for 10 seconds to dissolve lip makeup. Fold the cotton pad in half, hold the lip corner with one hand, stretch the lip skin outward, hold the cotton pad with the other hand and wipe the lower lip horizontally as shown in the picture, change the cotton pad to the clean side, hold the other corner of the mouth with the other hand, and wipe the upper lip horizontally. Repeat steps if necessary.

C. Cleansing Techniques

Use your fingertips to gently rub in circles from bottom to top and from inside to outside along the direction shown in the picture (do not rub hard), avoiding the eye area. Then rinse with clean water (preferably warm water) and wipe clean with a damp Mary Kay beauty wipe.
