People who love beauty attach great importance to their bodies, especially the cleanliness of the skin. However, many people often suffer skin damage due to various stimuli, and scars are often formed after recovery, which brings great damage to their image. There are also some scars on the skin, which also have a great impact. Let’s take a look at whether there is a big difference between scars and scars? I hope everyone can understand it. You may not be very clear about the difference between scars and keloids. Scars and keloids are both left on our skin during the healing process after injury. Their existence will affect our external beauty, and the existence of scars may also affect the function of organs. "Scar" is the inevitable product of trauma repair. Wounds involving the dermis almost always end up healing with scars. There are three mechanisms at work in the natural healing process of wounds: one is wound contraction; the second is granulation tissue filling the wound; and the third is epidermal growth covering the wound surface. Granulation tissue is mainly composed of small blood vessels and fibroblasts. If there is no abnormality, collagen gradually turns into connective tissue - this is actually a "scar", but this kind of wound will not rise above the skin surface after healing, so this kind of scar is called a "normal scar". If abnormalities occur during the wound healing process, the fibroblasts in the granulation tissue not only do not stop proliferating, but their number increases, and the amount of collagen and other extracellular matrix secreted also increases. The wound proliferates above the skin surface, becomes red, and various symptoms appear, even causing appearance and functional disorders. This is a "pathological scar" or an abnormal scar. "Scars" are actually the body's normal connective fibrous tissue that heals skin injuries, inflammation, and burns, but in some cases, the development of scars can cause a variety of annoying problems. Visible scars are those that are sunken, raised, thick, red, or pigmented. Especially ugly scars on exposed parts of the body such as arms or face will make patients lose confidence and affect their normal social activities. Severe scars may even shrink. If the scars are located at joints or parts that require frequent movement, such as lips and eyelids, they may cause functional impairment, making it impossible for the affected parts to move normally, such as being unable to straighten fingers or close eyelids. Some scars may develop into hypertrophic scars or keloids, which are itchy and painful and may locally enlarge and spread like a tumor. |
