The nasal base is the base part where the nose connects to the upper lip. 2. Prosthetic filling There are two shapes of prosthetic filling of the nasal base, one is the swallow-shaped prosthesis, and the other is the moon-shaped prosthesis. Swallow-shaped prostheses are generally used to fill the base of the nostrils, while moon-shaped prostheses are mostly used to fill the base of the nose. 3. Autologous cartilage filling has good compatibility with autologous cartilage tissue and will not shift or cause rejection reaction. Things to note after surgery : 1. Avoid getting the wound wet, avoid rubbing the base of the nose hard, and avoid bending over and lowering your head. 2. Avoid exaggerated lip expressions within 1 week after the operation, talk as little as possible, and avoid laughing and yawning. 3. Avoid tobacco, alcohol, fish, shrimp, and spicy food within 1 week after the operation. 4. It is normal for edema, cyanosis, and congestion to occur in the surgical area after surgery. Most of them will gradually disappear after 1-2 weeks. If you find swelling, congestion, increased pain, bleeding, etc., please contact your doctor immediately. 5. Local numbness or insensitivity of the lips may occur after the operation, which generally recovers gradually in about half a year. 6. To avoid displacement and penetration of the prosthesis, try to avoid exaggerated expressions within 3 months. If the prosthesis is displaced, penetrated, or infected, please contact your doctor immediately.
