Double eyelid incision sunken

Double eyelid incision sunken

There are many plastic surgery institutions nowadays, so the prices of some minor plastic surgeries are not very high. This has led to many people who are dissatisfied with some part of their appearance to join the ranks of plastic surgery. Among them, double eyelid surgery is a popular type of micro-surgery. Many people who think they have small eyes want to make their eyes more beautiful by having double eyelid surgery. But all surgeries have risks. What if the double eyelid incision is sunken?

If the incision for double eyelid surgery is too deep, it means that there will be some scars. Double eyelid scars generally will not really disappear, but will become less obvious after half a year. In the first three months after double eyelid surgery, the surgical incision is still in the recovery process, and initial scars have been formed due to damage to the dermis during the operation. The 3-6 months after double eyelid surgery is a period of time when scars may proliferate. There are obvious scars and deep depressions after double eyelid surgery, which can be divided into:

1. Deep adhesion causes depression

During the operation, the butt of the incision formed adhesions directly with the deep eyelid plate, resulting in a depression in the incision.

During the operation, the incision skin is directly adhered to the deep tarsal plate. When repairing, the adhesions should be loosened in layers, and then the skin and eyelids should be finely sutured to effectively solve the scar problem.

2. Excessive removal of deep tissue of the incision

When performing a full-cut double eyelid surgery, it is usually necessary to remove a narrow strip of orbicularis oculi muscle deep in the incision, but if too much is removed, it will cause depression. Therefore, the amount must be strictly controlled during removal to ensure that the tissues at the anastomosis incision are continuous from top to bottom.

During repair, you can use your own fat tissue for filling, or sew more pretarsal fascia when suturing so that it can fill the deep part of the incision to avoid the formation of a sunken scar again.

3. The skin below the double eyelid line is not tightened

This situation is common in people with loose eyelids. Not enough tissue is removed during the operation, and strips of flesh will remain. During repair, excess skin tissue is removed and the skin is lifted.
