How to improve oily skin, a complete oil removal strategy

Having oily skin is a bit troublesome in the summer, as your face is always oily and looks ugly. Oily skin can be improved. Start with cleansing in the morning by choosing a cleanser, an oil-controlling day cream, and a facial mask specifically for oily skin.

Strategy 1: Use cleansing milk instead of alkaline foaming cleansing cream

In order to deal with grease, people with oily skin often like to use strong cleansing soap or facial cleanser to wash their faces and remove dirt in the summer.

But in fact, too strong foam cleansers will take away moisture and sebum on the face, so it is best to use a foam-free and milder facial cleanser to wash your face. The water temperature should be around 20℃. Too hot will cause the sebum to lose moisture, while too cold will not be able to clean.

Strategy 2: Use moisturizing toner instead of astringent

Astringent water containing alcohol ingredients can undoubtedly control oil secretion and shrink pores, but using it in winter may make the skin drier. If oil secretion is normal, you can use a toner with a cooling feeling, or you can use frozen distilled water instead.

Strategy 3: Use summer night cream as winter day cream

You don’t necessarily need to throw away all the skincare products you use in the summer. For example, the night cream you use in the summer is usually more moisturizing than the day cream, so you can switch to using it as a day cream in the winter!

Strategy 4: Rehydrate your skin and avoid using oily creams

Many people think that people with oily skin do not need moisturizing, but in fact, if you don’t apply a protective film on your face, skin with large pores is more susceptible to dust.

Winter also makes the skin prone to dehydration, so oily skin should choose water-based or gel-based moisturizers, which are enough to just replenish moisture. Cream-based skin care products contain a lot of oil. If your face feels "sticky" after applying them, don't continue using them.

Strategy 5: Alternate between deep cleansing mask and moisture mask

Deep cleansing masks, such as hand-tear or mineral mud masks, have the functions of removing dirt and controlling oil, but in winter they cannot just control oil, so it is best to apply a pure moisture mask every other day to replenish moisture.

Deep cleansing masks, such as tear-off or mineral mud masks

In fact, homemade masks can also cleanse and moisturize the skin. Here is a homemade oatmeal mask for you:

Ingredients: 1/2 bowl of oatmeal, 1 egg white, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1/2 apple (mashed).

Method: Mix all ingredients into a smooth paste, then apply on face for about 15 minutes and rinse off. The egg white itself has an exfoliating effect, the lemon can whiten the skin, and the oatmeal provides moisture. It is definitely a multi-functional mask!

Strategy 6: Oil-absorbing facial tissue and moisturizing lotion are essential when going out

In summer, it is a daily routine for people with oily skin to bring oil-absorbing facial tissue when going out, but in winter, you must also bring lotion containing moisturizing ingredients when going out. Remember to replenish water every time you finish absorbing oil!

Strategy 7: Choose water-based sunscreen

Sun protection is necessary in summer as well as in winter! However, people with oily skin should choose sunscreen with strong water content and less oil. After applying sunscreen, it is best to lightly wipe your face with oil-absorbing tissue to reduce the oily texture.
