What are closed cystic acne?

There are many types of acne we have seen, one of which is called closed cystic acne, also known as cystic acne. At first we only see some blackheads on our face, but when we squeeze them, they will leave scars. The editor has collected some causes and knowledge about cystic acne. Next, let me introduce to you why cystic acne cannot be squeezed.

The initial lesions of cystic acne are mostly blackheads. If squeezed, a sebum plug with a black head and a yellow-white translucent body can be seen being discharged. Small pustules may appear on the top of the rash, which may leave temporary pigmentation or small concave scars after rupture or absorption.

In a few severe patients, in addition to blackheads, papules and pustules, inflammatory nodules or cysts ranging in size from beans to fingernails may also be seen. The various lesions vary in size and depth, with one or two of them often predominating. They often occur in the fatty areas of the face, chest and back, and occasionally in other parts of the body. They are symmetrically distributed, with the center of the face, especially the nose and around the eye sockets, often spared. There are usually no subjective symptoms, but if the inflammation is obvious, it may cause pain and tenderness. After puberty, most patients can recover naturally or their symptoms can be alleviated.

Causes of Cystic Acne

The main culprits of cystic acne: endocrine disorders, excessive sebum secretion and microbial infection in hair follicles are the main factors for the onset of acne. It is now generally recognized that androgens play a very important role in the occurrence, development and persistence of cystic acne.

Causes of cystic acne: poor personal hygiene, wearing tight clothes that cause excessive friction between the clothes and the body, using creams and cosmetics that are not suitable for you, and frequently consuming a high-sugar, high-fat diet.

Cystic acne usually occurs because we eat too much high-fat food, coupled with poor personal hygiene and staying up late, which can easily cause cystic acne. Therefore, we must pay attention to our personal hygiene and develop the good habit of washing our faces and hands frequently. At the same time, we should be careful not to eat too much high-fat food, and eat more light food, such as winter melon, celery, etc., which will help us prevent cystic acne.
