Things to note after ear surgery

1. In the three weeks after the small ear plastic surgery, pressure bandage is required to prevent the auricle from returning to its preoperative shape, but be careful not to apply heavy pressure to prevent tissue ischemia;

2. Do not pull the auricle forcibly within three months after the small ear plastic surgery to avoid external damage;

3. Antibiotics are routinely used for 3-5 days after surgery, and bandages are still required for several days after the stitches are removed;

4. When bandaging, pay attention to packing the groove behind the ear with gauze. All dressings can be removed three weeks after the operation. Carefully remove the hair at the edge of the ear. Avoid excessive pressure on the surgical site within half a year.

5. Do not wash the surgical site with water after surgery and insist on taking antibiotics to prevent infection;

6. If facial paralysis occurs and the eyes cannot be closed tightly, in order to protect the cornea, eye ointment and an eye mask should be worn at night.
