Why is there a closed mouth on the face?

In life, people often find that some people’s faces are covered with small red pimples, which looks very unsightly. These small pimples are called closed comedones. It is a type of acne and a sebaceous skin disease that often occurs in young people. Its formation is related to many factors, such as endocrine disorders, staying up late, greasy diet and so on. So what exactly is going on with closed mouth on the face?

Why are there so many closed pores on my face?

1. Wrong posture for washing face

Incomplete makeup removal and not washing thoroughly is one aspect: the mixture of mineral oil residue and keratin can easily clog pores and cause closed comedones. On the other hand, washing too thoroughly and using soap-based facial cleansers and soaps with strong cleansing power can lead to dry skin and weakened barrier function. The keratinocytes of the skin that have lost a lot of water begin to keratinize abnormally, laying the foundation for the formation of closed comedones.

2. Dryness and lack of water

Many beauties think that they get closed comedones because they have oily skin, but in fact, dry and dehydrated skin is more likely to get closed comedones. Due to lack of water, keratin cells cannot metabolize normally, the old ones are not removed and new ones come, and keratin accumulates at the opening of the pores. For dry skin, due to insufficient oil secretion, small bumps on the skin color will appear, while for oily skin, blackheads or whiteheads may appear quickly.

Why are there so many closed pores on my face?

1. Eating too much sweets can cause closed mouth

People who eat too greasy food or like to eat sweets are prone to acne on their faces. This is because sugar will increase male hormones and promote sebum secretion. Excessive hyperplasia of the sebaceous glands will cause the accumulation of keratinized cells in the epidermis, which will hinder oil excretion and clog the pores. In addition, the metabolism of sugars will consume B vitamins, which are closely related to skin health. Excessive intake of sugar will undoubtedly increase the consumption of B vitamins, resulting in rough skin and weakened cell renewal ability. Coupled with the blockage of hair follicles by oil, closed comedones are no longer a dream.

2. Often stay up late and sleep late

The biggest experience of people who stay up late is oily and dull skin, which is a manifestation of poor metabolism of oil and melanin due to lack of sleep. Staying up late will cause an imbalance in hormone secretion in the body. If this continues for a long time, it is only a matter of time before skin problems such as closed comedones, enlarged pores, dullness, dark circles, eye bags, wrinkles, etc. appear.
