How long does it take to recover after liposuction?

Recovery after liposuction has always been a concern for everyone. Right after liposuction, the patient needs to lie in bed and rest for about 2 to 4 hours, and give proper massage within 14 days after the operation to prevent internal scars and nerve deformation from affecting normal blood circulation. As long as good care is given in this way, some complications can be avoided.

Nursing

Most parts of the body can be treated with liposuction, but improper care after liposuction surgery may cause infection and adversely affect the body.

Post-liposuction care:

(i) The patient can be discharged from the hospital and return home after resting in bed for 2 to 4 hours. The affected area should continue to wear an elastic corset for about 2 to 3 months.

(ii) 7 to 14 days after the operation, the affected area needs to be properly massaged to prevent internal scar adhesion and appearance deformation.

(3) Follow up with your doctor on time for treatment and follow-up, which should last for six months to one year.

(iv) Small scars require continuous care, such as scar silicone patches.

(V) If you have stretch marks and epidermal wrinkles, you will need to start skin care treatment one week after the surgery to achieve perfect results.

As long as you pay attention to the above points after liposuction surgery, the probability of various postoperative complications will be reduced.

Precautions

Things to note before liposuction

⒈The patient should take a bath one day before the operation.

⒉ Stop taking blood-activating drugs, vitamins and other nutritional supplements before surgery to prevent affecting wound healing and increasing intraoperative bleeding.

⒊ Stop smoking two weeks before surgery. Smoking reduces the concentration of oxygen in the blood and affects wound healing.

⒋ Stop drinking alcohol within 24 hours before surgery, as drinking accelerates blood circulation and increases intraoperative bleeding.

5. Consult with a plastic surgeon first to understand which parts of your body need liposuction and the amount of fat that can be removed.

⒍ Ask your doctor about the basic process of liposuction surgery, possible problems and related countermeasures.

⒎Perform necessary laboratory tests, such as blood and urine routine tests, electrocardiogram, liver function tests, etc.

⒏ Make an appointment for liposuction surgery in advance. After liposuction surgery, there will be some inconvenience in your life, so please arrange the surgery time accordingly.

⒐Avoid the menstrual period. Patients who take anticoagulants, vasodilators and hormone drugs for a long time must stop taking them for 1 to 2 weeks.
