How dangerous is thread lifting?

Thread carving is a kind of micro plastic surgery, which can perform rhinoplasty and face lifting, making the face look more three-dimensional and beautiful. It is a very popular plastic surgery technique nowadays. Thread carving certainly has certain side effects and risks. It may form scars, make the skin uneven, and even penetrate the skin and cause skin ulcers, so everyone should choose with caution.

Expressions are limited

During thread lifting surgery, threads are implanted under the skin to lift the skin. During the recovery period, the patient will feel something inside the skin. When making facial expressions, he or she will feel that the face is being pulled by something and the expression is restricted to a certain extent. After two weeks, this feeling of tight skin will slowly disappear. This is a normal phenomenon. But even so, the patient should not touch the thread sculpture area within one to two weeks after the operation and should not make exaggerated expressions.

Causes skin hematoma

Thread lifting may also cause the risk of hematoma, which is mainly due to damage to small blood vessels during the thread lifting operation, or incomplete hemostasis after the operation. This phenomenon usually disappears within a week after the operation. If the hematoma does not disappear after a week, or becomes more serious, you should go to the hospital for follow-up treatment immediately.

Causes scarring baldness

During the thread lifting surgery, in order to tighten the skin, the doctor will remove a certain width of scalp as the thread lifting incision. If the doctor is inexperienced and the incision is not precise, then scars may form after the wound heals, and even cause excessive suture tension, affecting local blood circulation and causing local infection, resulting in the hair in this area no longer growing. This harm is called "scarring baldness."

Wound infection

If the surgical equipment and the operating room are not properly disinfected during thread lifting surgery, or the patient's own resistance is poor, and postoperative care is not in place, it is easy to lead to the risk of wound infection, resulting in redness, swelling, itching, or even ulceration of the wound. Once infected, anti-infection treatment is required under the guidance of a doctor to prevent greater risks.

Mildly uneven skin

During thread lifting surgery, due to the unbalanced contraction force between the thread-embedded gaps and the surrounding material, and the fact that the embedded threads are relatively thick, the skin epidermis will appear slightly uneven. Generally, this situation will improve after half a month.
