There are many causes of acne. The first one is that it is related to the excessive secretion of hormones by the body. When the hormone secretion is strong, it often causes excessive sebum secretion, which can easily lead to folliculitis and clogged hair follicles, thus inducing acne. In addition, if there is abnormal keratinization of the sebaceous gland duct of the hair follicles, acne is also likely to occur. 1. Excessive secretion of male hormones and sebum Abnormal impulses of the pituitary gland due to puberty or other reasons cause the adrenal glands and gonads to produce excessive male hormones. The sebaceous glands are the target organs of androgens, and they continue to grow and secrete large amounts of sebum. On the other hand, it is also possible that an individual's sebaceous glands react violently to normal levels of androgens, leading to the occurrence of acne. 2. Abnormal keratinization of the sebaceous gland duct Keratinization disorder of the hair follicle sebaceous gland duct constitutes the special damage that causes acne to begin. Free fatty acids can stimulate the hair follicle wall and cause inflammation. At the same time, they can stimulate the proliferation and excessive keratinization of the epithelium of the sebaceous gland duct of the hair follicle, which will block the secretion of sebum and cause congestion and acne. Low molecular weight polypeptides can produce hydrolases to damage or even rupture the hair follicle wall, causing the contents of the hair follicle to overflow into the dermis, further aggravating the inflammatory response and causing skin lesions to change from acne to cystic acne. 3. Propionibacterium acnes proliferates in hair follicles Under normal circumstances, Propionibacterium acnes parasitizes in hair follicles. When puberty and other factors cause excessive sebum secretion, the Propionibacterium acnes parasitic in the human body will rapidly multiply with the help of triglycerides in the sebum as nutrition. Propionibacterium acnes obtain the glycerol part of triglycerides as energy through extracellular enzymes. The remaining free fatty acids have a strong inflammatory effect on the hair follicles and surrounding skin, leading to acne. Keeping your skin clean is one of the important ways to effectively eliminate acne. We need to use facial cleanser every day, but it is best to use it 1-2 times a day, once in the morning and once in the evening in summer. If you have combination skin, that is, oily T-zone, you should choose a non-foaming facial cleanser in winter. If you feel that the non-foaming facial cleanser cannot clean your face thoroughly, use dry cleaning. Apply it on your face when your face is dry, then wipe it with tissue paper, and then wash your face with clean water. This will thoroughly clean your face and make it smooth after washing. |
