How harmful is lipstick fading?

Lips are the most beautiful part of a woman, but they are also the part that we tend to neglect the most. Nowadays, many beautiful girls will put lipstick on their lips, which undoubtedly enhances women's beauty. However, lipstick fading is a very common occurrence. It will take away the moisture from the lip cells, and some lipstick will enter the mouth, but the harm is not great.

Is lipstick fading harmful?

It would be a terrible thing if a lipstick does not fade at all when applied on your lips!

Permanent lipstick contains volatile ingredients, the purpose of which is to evaporate the moisture in the lipstick and make the color adhere to the lips better. However, this will also take away the moisture on the lips, which can easily cause a lot of lip wrinkles. In addition, most non-fading lipsticks do not contain oil and are much less moisturizing than other lipsticks.

Hidden dangers of long-term lipstick application:

1. The main ingredients of lipstick are lanolin, wax and dyes. Due to the complex composition of lanolin, it is easy to cause allergic reactions, such as chapped and peeling lip mucosa, and sometimes itchy or slight pain in the lips.

2. The lanolin in lipstick has strong adsorption capacity and can adsorb dust, bacteria, viruses and some heavy metal ions in the air onto the lip mucosa. When people drink water or eat, they can bring lipstick and these harmful substances on it into their mouths and directly enter the body.

3. The coal tar dyes used in all lipsticks are terrible carcinogens, and the amount of this substance contained in lipsticks has far exceeded the amount allowed in food. After putting on lipstick, it is inevitable that the lipstick will be licked off and enter the human body unintentionally while talking, drinking tea or eating.

4. According to relevant foreign data, among young female cancer patients, 18.2% of the causes are related to lipstick. Lipstick contains high amounts of heavy metals such as lead and cadmium. Lead is cumulative. Long-term inhalation by the human body may lead to chronic lead poisoning, causing anemia, abdominal pain, acute renal failure, and brain neuropathy.

-5. Preservatives and antioxidants such as BHA have been proven to be quasi-carcinogens. For example, preservatives (paraben) can cause breast tumors.

6. Artificial pigments in lipstick may turn into mutagens and cause cancer under ultraviolet light.

7. Sweet-smelling lipsticks contain saccharin, which has been proven to cause cancer if consumed in excess.

It is normal for lipstick to fade, but you should be careful not to apply lipstick too often and take care of the health of your skin.
