Autologous cartilage rhinoplasty

Autologous cartilage rhinoplasty

Autologous cartilage rhinoplasty is a common plastic surgery method. The selected material is autologous tissue, the more common ones are autologous fat and autologous cartilage tissue. The biggest advantage of such autologous rhinoplasty materials is that they will not cause rejection reactions. After undergoing autologous cartilage rhinoplasty, patients should pay attention to good recovery, especially right after the operation. They must prevent infection and edema, and should apply cold compresses in time.

Surgical method

1. Determine the cartilage donor area based on the amount of cartilage required for rhinoplasty;

2. Take cartilage from behind the ear, nasal septum or ribs and carve it for later use;

3. Gently implant the carved cartilage into the nose and fix it.

Surgical Procedure

Before using autologous tissue to make the nose higher, the patient's face must be disinfected first, and then intravenous compound anesthesia is performed; after the ear is anesthetized, a piece of autologous tissue the size of a fingernail is taken out; according to the nose shape required by the beauty seeker, the autologous tissue rhinoplasty doctor carves the material into shape and then puts it into a syringe; the autologous tissue rhinoplasty doctor uses surgical thread to bind the autologous tissue to the tip of the nose, and then a complete composite prosthesis is completed and only needs to be implanted in the nose;

The autologous tissue rhinoplasty doctor injects anesthetics into the nose tip, nose dorsum and columella, makes a bird-shaped incision on the inside of the nostril, and then separates the nose dorsum; the prosthesis is placed under the nose dorsum, and then the position of the prosthesis is adjusted to ensure that the curve of the nose dorsum is smooth, and then several metal needles are inserted from the skin of the nose dorsum to fix the autologous tissue and prevent displacement;

The incision was quickly sutured, and the autologous tissue rhinoplasty surgery was completed, and the nose also underwent a beautiful transformation. Plastic surgery experts remind that since autologous cartilage rhinoplasty surgery uses autologous cartilage and high-tech filling materials to perform the rhinoplasty, the plastic surgeon will also repair the enlarged nose tip according to the patient's condition, solve problems such as the nose tip being too fat or too low, and give the patient a nearly perfect nose shape.

Postoperative Care

1. After autologous cartilage rhinoplasty, it is strictly forbidden to touch the surgical incision with your hands, and avoid getting the incision wet;

2. Minimize activities to prevent the prosthesis from moving;

3. Use antibiotics for 3-5 days to prevent infection;

4. The sutures in the nose will be removed after 5-7 days. After rhinoplasty, there will be local swelling at the tip of the nose, which will gradually subside after four days. Avoid weight bearing, which will increase the swelling;

5. Avoid exposure to the sun and violent impact within two months after autologous cartilage rhinoplasty;

6. Avoid spicy food;

7. Sexual intercourse is strictly prohibited for two weeks after autologous cartilage rhinoplasty;

8. Smoking is strictly prohibited within two weeks after autologous cartilage rhinoplasty.
