Orthodontic cycle

Orthodontic cycle

In order to have a perfect face, many female friends who love beauty will correct their teeth through surgery. Orthodontic surgery requires a certain period of fixation to re-fix the teeth. At this time, steel wires will be tied on the teeth. This is why we often see some people with steel wires tied on their teeth. During the period of orthodontic treatment, it is recommended that everyone should pay attention to the protection of their teeth.

The general correction period is 2 years. After removing the braces, the patient needs to wear retainers for one to two years to consolidate the correction effect and prevent tooth displacement.

The different stages of orthodontic treatment

When you go to the dentist for orthodontic treatment, you will find that everyone from kindergarten children to middle-aged uncles and aunts will be there. Orthodontic treatment at different stages has different effects.

The deciduous teeth period under 5 years old: Deciduous teeth are the first teeth of children. A common symptom is "underbite" (crossbite). Timely intervention and correction are beneficial to ensure the normal development of the maxillary bone and prevent later bone deformities and crossbite of permanent teeth.

Tooth replacement period for children under 12 years old: Generally, little girls at the age of eight to ten and little boys at the age of nine to twelve begin to enter the tooth replacement stage, with the deciduous teeth falling out and the permanent teeth growing out. If the child has abnormal tooth arrangement or even abnormal facial shape at this stage, parents should take the child to a dental consultation in time.

The tooth replacement period is also the growth and development period of children, and all aspects of the body are developing. If the child's teeth are arranged abnormally, it may affect the normal development of the upper and lower jaws, and finally lead to functional or skeletal malocclusion of the jaws. Timely corrective treatment during the tooth replacement period is beneficial to promote the healthy development of the jaw, which is beneficial to the child's facial beauty and bite ability.

The permanent tooth period for children over 12 years old, as all the deciduous teeth of the child are replaced, they officially enter the permanent tooth period. This stage will last a lifetime. For minor malocclusion, you can choose orthodontics based on your desired level of beauty. If the teeth are severely misaligned and have even developed into malocclusion, it will be necessary to undergo relevant facial plastic surgery to correct the deformity after development is completed.
