Rhinoplasty Surgery

Treatment Process

It involves making a butterfly-shaped incision along the edge of the nose alar, separating the skin to expose the alar cartilage, removing the upper part of the alar cartilage at the dome, re-suturing and reshaping it, and then removing excess connective tissue and fat under the skin, as well as the nose skin, and finally suturing it. Clinically, the procedure of nose reduction surgery is as follows:

Procedure 1: Make an incision along the anterior edge of the medial and lateral crus of the alar cartilage to make the nostril margin.

Step 2: Separate the skin and the underlying alar cartilage through the incision.

Step 3: Trim the fat tissue on the surface of the alar cartilage, then remove most of the upper and outer parts of the alar cartilage, leaving only a "┴"-shaped cartilage in the middle and on the edge.

Process 4: Suture the incision. Take oral antibiotics for 5-7 days after the nose reduction surgery. Remove the stitches 5-7 days after the surgery. Do not get the wound wet before removing the stitches. The swelling will start to subside after 1 week, and will basically subside after 1 month. The best effect will be achieved after 3-6 months. Avoid bumping your nose within one month to prevent it from deviating.

So how should you take care of yourself in daily life after nose reduction surgery? After the operation, you must remember to reduce activities and do not touch the operated area. Before the stitches are removed, it is best to wipe your face with a towel instead of washing it, in order to prevent the wound from getting infected. Taking some antibiotics every day can also help prevent infection.
