How is nose reduction surgery performed?

The nose is very prominent on the face. When the nose is not good-looking, it is often noticed at a glance and it is difficult to ignore. Therefore, some people with larger nose wings often want to make their nose wings smaller, and at this time they need to undergo nose plastic surgery. So, how are these nose-reducing plastic surgeries performed? Are they dangerous? What should you pay attention to?

As the nose wings become smaller, the nose shape immediately becomes harmonious and delicate, making the nose look particularly bony and invisibly enhancing the temperament. Therefore, nose reduction surgery has become a favorite for people with enlarged nose wings. Below, plastic surgery experts introduce three surgical methods for reducing the size of the nose.

1. People with wide nose wings and wide nostrils

Surgical method: Partial resection of the nasal base and nostril reduction can be performed cautiously.

The designed incision is located at the base of the nose and the lower part of the nose groove. Under local anesthesia, part of the full-thickness tissue of the nose base is appropriately removed, and then the nostril is pushed inward to narrow it, and layered interrupted sutures are performed. The length of the visible scar after surgery generally does not exceed 1CM.

2. People with wide nose wing margins

Surgical method: Part of the free edge of the nose wing is removed, and after trimming, the incision is sutured to the inner surface of the nose wing.

3. People with small nostrils, thick nose wings, or too full upper part of nose wing groove

Surgical method:

Step 1: Make a skin incision along the front edge of the lateral crus of the alar cartilage, peel off the skin and the alar cartilage underneath, cut off the bloated soft tissue on the surface of the cartilage, and then remove the upper and outer parts of the alar cartilage appropriately;

Step 2: In the nostril, remove a diamond-shaped piece of vestibular skin and nasal mucosa on the inner side of the base of the nose, and cut off the excess fat tissue;

Step 3: Suture the incision on the edge of the nostril and the incision on the inner side of the base of the nose.

After undergoing rhinoplasty, the enlarged nose wings will become small and delicate, making your facial features look more harmonious. However, because it is a plastic surgery, there are certain risks. If you want to minimize this risk, you should go to a regular hospital for the surgery and not believe in advertisements that may turn beauty into disfigurement.
