The more you wash your hair, the worse it gets. Here are 4 tips for proper hair care.

Massage your scalp before washing

Before shampooing, massaging your scalp with special scalp care products can help relieve a scalp that is tense due to pressure or hair binding, and can also inhibit excessive oil production on the scalp. It is recommended to massage on dry hair, and be sure to use the fingertips. Never use your nails to scratch your scalp. When massaging, follow the order from bottom to top and massage in a spiral shape to promote blood circulation. It is ideal to wash your hair every day and massage your scalp 2 to 3 times a week.

Choosing a Shampoo

When choosing a shampoo, the most important consideration is whether the shampoo is suitable for your scalp. The shampoo must first be able to remove the oil, dirt and sweat secretions from the scalp, and secondly, it must remove the styling product residues and dust on the hair. Therefore, people with dry hair and oily scalp should actually choose a shampoo suitable for oily hair. As for problems such as dry and yellow hair, they can be improved with conditioners.

Do you really know how to wash your hair?

Be sure to comb your hair before washing to detangle the tangled hair. For long hair, be sure to comb from the ends first to avoid unnecessary pulling and damage to the hair. Then rinse your hair with water until it is completely wet, then dilute the shampoo in the palm of your hand with water and rub it to create foam. Do not pour the shampoo directly on your scalp and then use your hair as a starting machine, as this will irritate your scalp. The water temperature for the final rinse should not be too cold or too hot. The ideal water temperature is about 40°C, which is close to human body temperature. Also, remember to use a shower faucet. If the water column is too strong, it will damage the scalp.

Think of hair drying as lifting dumbbells

After washing your hair, do not blow-dry it immediately. Pat and wrap it with a dry towel to absorb some of the moisture. Then use a hair dryer to blow the inner layer of hair first and then the outer layer. Do not turn on the high heat setting and try to use low air flow. At the same time, the hair dryer should be at least 8cm away from the scalp. It is recommended to switch hands between left and right, which can help exercise the inner arm muscles that are not often used.
