How to take care of curly hair after perming

Perming is one of the most common hairdressing methods, and many people like to perm their hair in real life. If you are used to having long hair all the way to the bottom, then it is a very good choice to curl your hair occasionally, right? But curly hair looks good, but it is not easy to take care of. While curly hair brings charm, maturity and fashion to women, it is not easy to take care of. So how should you take care of your hair after perming? What should we pay attention to when taking care of curly hair on a daily basis?

How to take care of curly hair after perming

The care details for permed hair cannot be ignored. Let’s take a look at how to care for newly permed hair and extend the life of the “flower”.

1. While your hair is still damp, use a French brush or coarse-toothed comb to comb it, but don't pull it.

2. Never use a hairbrush to brush dry hair, otherwise the curls will be easily straightened and the hair will be easily broken.

3. Do not use a high-temperature hair dryer and do not keep it too close to your hair.

4. It is best to use a large hair dryer to make the permed hair fluffy without messing up the curls.

5. After washing your hair or when styling your hair in the morning, use styling products to increase the strength of the curls.

6. After perming, the hair tends to become dull and dry. You can use some hair lightener to increase its luster.

In addition, the following points should be achieved:

1. When perming your hair, the hair cannot withstand a flow temperature above 80°C, and the flow temperature when blow-drying cannot exceed 120°C.

Because when the temperature is exceeded, the fibrous keratin that makes up the hair will denature, causing the hair to swell and rupture, and the scales to fall off, resulting in discoloration, breakage, reduced elasticity and loss of luster.

2. Correct way to blow dry your hair after perming

(1) When blow-drying your hair, be careful not to blow directly onto unwashed hair, otherwise the hair will easily be damaged.

(2) Do not use a hair dryer too close to your hair. The air outlet should be at least 5 cm away from your hair to prevent the hair cuticle from being damaged by overheating.

3. Post-perm care is very important

Because the scalp will be very uncomfortable right after a perm and the hair is relatively fragile, applying hair strengthener or White Diamond post-perm care foam can avoid the above phenomenon.

4. After perming, you should supplement some protective products containing protein and moisture. You can choose some shampoos, conditioners and nutritional essences in a targeted manner. A care hair treatment is also a good choice.
