How to do thread carving

There is a saying in the business world that women's money is the easiest to make. Love of beauty is women's nature. In addition to loving shopping, women are also very keen on taking care of themselves. Many newly launched skin care products are sought after by female friends because of their advertised efficacy. In recent years, some medical plastic surgery institutions that can perform thread lifting have appeared on the market. So how is thread lifting done? Let's learn about it together.

1. What is the material of thread carving?

Generally, the materials used in thread lifting are PPDO and PLLA. There are also two other types of threads, PDO and PGLA. These four thread lifting materials have their own advantages. Let’s take a look at which material is better.

1. PPDO thread for thread sculpture

Ingredients and features: PPDO is polydioxanone, an absorbable protein zigzag thread produced by Johnson & Johnson. It is also the most commonly used thread in thread carving. It is further purified based on the PDO thread, with fewer side effects and higher safety.

Maintenance time: PPDO sutures are generally used for thread carving for two years, and the absorption time is about 6-8 months. Finally, the PPDO thread will be completely decomposed into carbon dioxide and water in the human body, which will not harm the body. If used as a thread sculpture material, it can induce the production of collagen, which can make the thread sculpture rhinoplasty effect last for 2 years.

2. PDO thread for thread carving

Ingredients and features: The full name of PDO thread is polydimethylhydroxyethylone, which is a smooth, 100% absorbable collagen thread. Like the other three threads, it has long and short lengths. There are three categories: smooth thread, spiral thread and serrated thread. Among them, the serrated thread has multiple models such as unidirectional serrated, bidirectional serrated, and cross serrated, each with its own use.

Maintaining time: The maintaining time of PDO thread does not exceed one year, which is a weakness of PDO thread. Due to its short maintaining time, PDO thread is rarely used as thread sculpture material. If it is implanted for the second time in about half a year, the curative effect can be greatly increased.

3. PLLA thread for thread sculpture

Ingredients and features: The main components of PLLA thread are poly L-lactic acid and collagen. PLLA thread is also the main component of Sculptra, a very popular project in the Korean plastic surgery market, so PLLA thread is also called baby face thread.

Maintenance time: PLLA thread is slowly absorbed and takes a long time to take effect (takes effect after 3 months). It takes about 13 months to reach the best effect. At the same time, it stimulates the production of autologous collagen. In theory, thread sculpture with PLLA thread can last for 5-7 years.

4. PGLA thread for thread carving

Ingredients and features: PGLA thread is polylactide-glycolide, which is also an absorbable suture used in surgery. Its degradation products are CO2 and water. However, it is not as popular as POD thread and PLLA thread in thread sculpting, and its usage rate is not high. PGLA thread, like other types of thread, is divided into three categories: smooth thread, spiral thread, and serrated thread.

Duration: Generally, it is not as long-lasting as PLLA and PPDO lines. It will be absorbed by the skin after half a year, and the effect can still be maintained for a period of time. The effect disappears after about 8 months.

2. What is the principle of thread carving?

The principle of thread lifting is to make a tiny incision at the hairline in front of the ear, and then use a cannula needle to insert the thread into the skin layer, and perform facial lifting by traction and lifting. After continuous threading, the overall effect of lifting and alleviating wrinkles can be achieved. To put it in a more vivid way, thread lifting has the same effect on muscle and fat as a rope pulling a cart. Thread lifting uses a small rope to move the fat pad and loose tissue back into place.
