What is an AHA Peel?

Things to note before fruit acid peel treatment

1. Use fruit acid cream every day for two weeks and then do fruit acid skin peeling. This will not only increase the skin's adaptability but also make the skin peeling effect better. Use low-concentration (15%) fruit acid and ointment prescribed by the doctor before going to bed, and use fruit acid and sunscreen in the morning.

2. Do not do the following within one week before acid peel treatment: facial scrub, hair dyeing or perming, hair removal wax or shaving with a razor blade, or sunburn the affected area. 3. It is forbidden to shave with a razor on the day of fruit acid peel treatment.

Precautions after acid peel treatment

1. If you feel normal after the acid peel treatment, but just feel slightly tight or sensitive, use nourishing cream two to four times a day for one or two days. Once your skin feels normal, you can resume your pre-peel treatment regimen.

2. If there is obvious inflammation (redness, pain) after the acid peel treatment, in addition to applying nourishing cream two to four times a day, you can apply the anti-inflammatory ointment prescribed by the doctor to the inflamed area twice a day until the inflammation is relieved. If there is a scab, apply the antibiotic ointment prescribed by the doctor three times a day until the scab falls off. Do not pick at the scab to avoid scarring. If there is redness, swelling or suppuration near the scab, please return to the outpatient clinic for a follow-up visit immediately. After a few days, when your skin has completely returned to normal, you can continue to use the same care products you used before the peel.

3. The new skin after fruit acid peel is more sensitive to ultraviolet rays, so sun protection is very important. Sunscreen lotion must be used every day, once in the morning and once at noon. If you sweat a lot, you should reapply sunscreen lotion more often, stay out of the sun, and wear a hat or carry an umbrella when going out.
