How to use lotion correctly

How to use lotion correctly

Lotion is the most basic care product in our lives. Every morning and night, we need lotion to moisturize our skin. But do you know how to use lotion correctly? In fact, many friends have many misunderstandings when using lotion. Today we will correct them. We hope that everyone can use lotion correctly to make our skin more tender and smooth.

How to use lotion correctly

After cleansing, use toner for secondary cleansing and apply essence. After the essence is absorbed, take an appropriate amount of lotion and apply it with the strength of your fingertips. Apply it to the driest areas first, from the cheeks to the corners of the mouth, upper and lower jaws, etc., and then apply it to the entire face to give the dry areas a double moisturization. Applying lotion should be combined with massaging movements to facilitate skin absorption. Massage from the center of the face outwards with gentle movements until it is fully absorbed by the skin.

The correct amount of lotion

Generally speaking, the amount of lotion used will not exceed the amount of toner, and is about the size of a dime. But if sometimes you feel your skin is very tired or your complexion is dull, it means your skin needs more moisture and nutrition. At this time, you should increase the amount used, using two to three coins-sized amounts, so that your skin can get more moisture and nutrition.

Should I apply lotion with cotton pads or by hand?

The lotion can be applied with a cotton pad or directly with your hands. If you find it troublesome, you can apply it with your hands, just make sure your hands are clean. If the lotion is a bit sticky or oily on your face, applying it with a cotton pad can make it feel more refreshing and absorb better.

What skin type is the lotion suitable for?

Whether you have dry skin that lacks water or dry skin that lacks oil, you can use lotion. Most lotions are designed for dry skin, but now many lotions are divided into refreshing and moisturizing types. The moisturizing type contains more oil and is more suitable for drier skin, while the refreshing type contains less oil and is more suitable for combination or oily skin.

Use different lotions in the morning and evening

The skin's needs are different in the morning and at night. The lotion used during the day must take into account the factor of ultraviolet rays, so it is recommended to choose a protective lotion with UV efficacy; at night the skin will automatically enter the repair stage, so you might as well choose a lotion with whitening, moisturizing, repairing and other functions.
