How to take care of double eyelids after surgery

Plastic surgery is no longer a rare thing today, and has become a mainstream among young people. Many women will undergo minor cosmetic surgery on parts of their faces that they are not satisfied with. Double eyelids are the most common cosmetic surgery option. Although double eyelid surgery is a relatively simple operation and is relatively safe in the medical beauty industry, if you do not pay attention to care after the operation, the results of the surgery may not be satisfactory.

Keep the wound clean after surgery to recover quickly:

On the third day after the operation, you can make an appointment with the doctor to clean the surgical wound and clean the blood scab and secretions in the corner of the eye in time to keep the wound clean. Apply erythromycin eye ointment on the incision once a day with a sterile cotton swab, wear sunglasses when going out to avoid sunlight irritation to the wound and prevent scar proliferation. This can make the recovery after full-cut double eyelid surgery faster, because the cleaning of blood scabs is conducive to wound healing.

Apply hot and cold compresses to surgical wounds for bleeding, bruising or hematoma:

Use ice packs for cold compress within 48 hours after surgery, and apply mild pressure and then hot compress after 48 hours. The pressure should not be too great to avoid damaging the eyes. Be careful not to expose the eyes to external impact. Vigorous exercise or volatile emotions can cause bleeding, congestion or hematoma of the wound.

It is best to rest in a semi-lying position with the pillow raised:

Stack two or three pillows together to keep your head high and your feet low. This will help reduce swelling and recover as quickly as possible. When sleeping, a pillow that is too low can easily cause edema of the face and eyes.

Proper vitamin supplementation:

Generally, take anti-inflammatory drugs for 3-5 days, follow the doctor's instructions, and you can also take multivitamins appropriately, which will help recovery. Don't rush to take painkillers, because aspirin-like drugs can reduce blood coagulation.

Open your eyelids more:

After the operation, you can open your eyes upward more often to promote blood circulation and help the swollen eyes recover as soon as possible. The specific method of opening the eyes upwards is to press the eyebrows with two fingers, and do not use the strength of the forehead to open the eyes. You can feel that the position of the double eyelids after the operation is folded. Do this action 5-7 times a day to help quick recovery after full-cut double eyelid surgery.
