You can use ice packs for local cold compresses within the first 72 hours after double eyelid surgery, especially 3 hours after surgery, which can effectively prevent postoperative edema and relieve pain. Start local hot compress 3 days after surgery or after stitches are removed. The purpose of hot compress is to promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis, so that the wound and scar can heal faster. Whether it is cold compress or hot compress, do not let water wet the wound. Be sure to keep it clean and dry. You can go to the supermarket to buy milk, freeze it in the refrigerator if you need a cold compress, and heat it up if you need a hot compress. It is indeed a good idea.
