How to care after exfoliation?

Modern people pay great attention to skin care, especially women. There are all kinds of bottles and jars of skin care products and cosmetics in the home, and the frequency of use is very high, at least in the morning and evening every day. Over time, these skin care products and cosmetic residues will remain in the stratum corneum of our skin, causing brain control blockage and the skin tone will appear dull. At this time, exfoliation is necessary. So, how to take care of your skin after exfoliation?

Things to keep in mind when exfoliating:

1. Pay attention to the exfoliation cycle

Generally, exfoliation care is required every one to two weeks.

2. Be sure to pay attention to sun protection after exfoliation care

Be sure to do a good job of sun protection during the exfoliation period, otherwise it will seriously cause melanin deposition.

Good exfoliation method:

1. Exfoliate with vinegar and milk

Vinegar and milk mixed together can remove the aging cuticle on the face. First, open the pores on the face with warm water, then mix vinegar and milk together, and massage while rinsing the skin.

2. Exfoliate with sugar

Using white sugar to massage your face can help exfoliate. Apply a hot towel on your face for about 2 minutes, then take a tablespoon of white sugar and mix it with a small amount of water. Stir well and apply it on your face for massage. Massage for about 10 minutes and then rinse off the white sugar with warm water.

Exfoliation Methods

First, clean your face thoroughly. Washing your face is the first and most important step in beauty care. It cleans away the dirt on the surface and allows the cuticle that needs to be removed to "float" up. It is also a process that softens the cuticle.

Tips: Use different skin-cleansing products according to different seasons. The cleaning products used in the morning and at night should also be different. After running around during the day, the skin needs a thorough cleansing due to dust, oil, and metabolism. Therefore, it is suitable to use cleansing products with stronger cleaning power at night; conversely, the morning cleanser can be replaced with a milder product.

Step 2: Steam your face.

After softening the cuticle and completing the cleansing steps, use hot water to steam your face to open the pores, soften the cuticle, and bring the dirt in the pores to the surface. When steaming your face, prepare a basin of boiling water, then bring your face close to the basin, keeping it 20-30 cm away, and steam your face for about 5 minutes.

The third step is exfoliation. First moisten your face slightly, then apply the exfoliating cream on your face. Leave it on for about 2 minutes before starting to massage. Pay special attention to the T zone when massaging. Massage of this area can be continued for a longer time, while massage of drier areas such as the cheeks and forehead can be continued for a shorter time. Note: Do not rub your face, massage gently.

Tips: There are many types of exfoliating products, and the products must be gentle. General quick-acting products are not recommended. You can try natural plant or cosmeceutical products.

Step 4: Facial mask. It is also important to use a deep cleansing mask. Twice a week is the maximum - more than that will damage your skin and destroy the newly formed oil protective layer and new stratum corneum - the stratum corneum is not completely "garbage", it also has the function of protecting your skin from external pollution - a bit like the role of isolation cream!

Step 5: Astringent and moisturizing. After exfoliating, you need to use toner/astringent/moisturizing water/softening water (different waters are used for different skin types) - the function of water is to lock in moisture, shrink pores, and a lot of water also has a calming effect, making skin care products such as cream easier to absorb after use. The process of external exfoliation can leave your skin feeling dry, so you should apply more moisturizer to replenish and lock in moisture.
