What are the precautions for melanin transplantation?

Melanin transplantation is a method of treating vitiligo and is currently one of the best methods. Many people should know that the most obvious symptom of vitiligo patients is large white spots on the skin, which look very ugly and conspicuous, affecting their appearance. Melanin transplantation surgery can solve this problem very well, and it can make the skin of vitiligo patients return to normal. However, this operation also has certain risks, so we must know its precautions in order to better protect ourselves.

1. Ban crowds

The onset is related to trauma and it is contraindicated in patients with isomorphic reactions and those in the progressive stage. Patients with diabetes, peripheral neuritis, scar constitution, etc. are not suitable for this treatment, as they may experience adverse consequences such as wound healing problems, infection, and postoperative scars.

2. Individual Differences

The total effective rate of this treatment is over 95%. However, due to individual differences, different types and locations of the disease, a small number of patients may not survive.

3. Postoperative protection

Whether the recipient skin area is properly fixed after surgery is directly related to the success or failure of the operation. Therefore, the affected area must be bandaged and fixed, and must not be bumped or vibrated at will within one to two weeks. In addition, the treated area should be kept clean and dry after surgery, and the skin lesions should be kept away from water and sweating. After the operation, pigmentation may occur in both the donor skin and recipient skin areas, which will disappear on its own over time in normal people. The above is the common knowledge about melanocyte transplantation surgery.
