Double eyelid surgery wound redness

This is a normal phenomenon. Don't worry too much. Pay attention to post-operative care. Generally, there will be no major problems.

Post-operative precautions:

1. Apply pressure dressing for 24 hours after surgery and pay attention to the amount of bleeding.

2. The dressing should be opened 24 hours after the operation. Care should be taken to clean the wound and keep it dry and clean.

3. Apply ice within 48 hours after surgery and hot compress after 72 hours.

4. Avoid eating seafood, spicy and irritating substances, and prohibit smoking and drinking.

5. Use antibiotics for 3 to 5 days after surgery, and remove the stitches 5 to 7 days after surgery.

6. The recovery period after surgery is about one week, and follow-up is required if you feel unwell.

7. Try to avoid lowering your head after the operation, because lowering your head will cause blood to flow back and make your eyes more swollen.

8. Changes in the postoperative recovery period: There may be bruises around the eyes in the early postoperative period, and some may even have cyanosis. Swelling will be obvious within 2 to 3 days, and the swelling will disappear within 5 to 6 days, and the bruises will gradually turn into light yellow.

9. You can use ice packs for cold compresses within 24 hours after the operation, and switch to hot compresses after the stitches are removed to promote the reduction of swelling. Ten days after the operation, the swelling basically disappeared and the double eyelid lines became smooth but not very natural.
