1. Should you wash or not after applying the paper mask ? Many people think that there is still a lot of nutrient solution left on the face after removing the paper mask, and it would be a pity to wash it off. Therefore, they often pat it a few times like patting toner, wait for the nutrients to be fully absorbed, and then apply moisturizing cream; some people simply treat the nutrient solution as a face cream, massage it lightly and leave it on overnight. 2. The function of the facial mask is to isolate the air and bring nutrients into the skin. But in fact, the skin's absorption of nutrients is limited. Within 15-20 minutes of applying the mask on the face, the skin is already in a saturated state. What it can absorb has basically been absorbed, and what it cannot absorb will not be absorbed no matter how long it takes.

3. If you do not wash off the nutrient solution on your face and directly apply other skin care products, it will affect the skin's absorption of these skin care products. In addition, if some nutrients in the mask stay on the face for too long, it will cause skin sensitivity. For those who already have sensitive skin, acne or red spots are more likely to appear.

4. Finally , Zhang Xiaomei added that from 12 o'clock at night to 3 o'clock in the morning is the time for the skin to repair damaged cells by itself. Therefore, applying a facial mask before this time is most effective and helps to deliver nutrients to the bottom layer of the skin.

5. In addition, do not apply facial masks too frequently. 1-2 times a week in summer, and increased to 2-3 times a week in winter due to dry weather.
