How to remove Nevus of Ota on the face?

There is a certain family history of Nevus of Ota. Many people have it at birth or shortly after birth. Treatment includes medication and surgery. Laser is currently the best method for treating Nevus of Ota. In terms of diet, you can eat more fruits, vegetables and other foods.

Distribution of nevus of Ota

Blue, brown, black or mixed-color patches and spots around the eye sockets. In severe cases, they may appear as brown, bluish-brown or bluish-black pigmented spots on one or both sides of the face. This disease has a family history. Most patients with nevus of Ota have late onset, either during puberty, after childbirth, or after trauma. Some patients may develop it after the age of 35.

But no matter when it grows, its properties are the same, there is no difference. For patients who are born with or develop a nevus of Ota shortly after birth, the nevus of Ota will usually fluctuate once around 4-5 years old and 12-14 years old. That is to say, during this period, the nevus of Ota will grow larger or the color will become darker, and then it will be more stable. For patients who develop Nevus of Ota later in life, they usually develop Nevus of Ota when they are around 4-5 years old or 12-14 years old. Of course, there are also cases where Nevus of Ota develops later. The color of Ota's nevus may change with the seasons, such as being darker in summer and lighter in winter. Emotions also affect the color.

Medication

The treatment of Ota nevus is rather difficult, and there is currently no ideal treatment. The main treatment methods are: ① Excision and skin grafting. Although the diseased tissue can be removed, the color of the skin graft is often difficult to coordinate with the surrounding skin after survival, and there are incision scars, making the effect difficult for patients to accept. ② The effects of cryosurgery or skin grinding plus cryosurgery are also unsatisfactory. ③Laser is currently the best method for treating nevus of Ota. Because the pigment is darker, short-pulse lasers such as switched ruby, neodymium: yttrium aluminum garnet or alexandrite lasers should be used for treatment.
