How to care after exfoliation

How to care after exfoliation

Loving beauty is the nature of many people, and it is most obvious in women. In order to make their skin more lustrous, many women choose to exfoliate regularly, or to put it bluntly, to remove dead skin. Many people know that the skin is very fragile after exfoliation. At this time, you need to adopt a good method to maintain the skin. Otherwise, it will not only fail to have a good effect on the skin, but will make the skin rougher. Here are some tips for skin care after exfoliation. I hope you can adopt them.

Face

First of all, you need to understand your skin type. If your skin is dry or sensitive, it doesn't matter if you don't exfoliate specifically. If you want to do it, remember to choose a mild exfoliating product and do it about once every 1 to 2 weeks.

As for people with oily skin, which is prone to oiliness especially in the summer, the rate at which keratin is produced will be faster than that of people with normal or dry skin. This treatment can be done about 1 to 2 times a week. If you have combination skin, the oilier T-zone and chin area can be treated the same way as for oily skin, and the drier cheeks can be treated the same way as for dry skin.

In terms of maintenance steps, facial exfoliation should be done after cleansing the face and when the face still retains moisture. The force of exfoliation must be gentle, and slowly push in small circles, about 7 to 10 times for one area. After exfoliating, rinse with clean water and then proceed with maintenance.

The necessary maintenance work after exfoliating your face includes moisturizing and sun protection (if you are going out). If you have sensitive skin, it is recommended to use skin care products that can help soothe your skin (such as hot spring water) before moisturizing. In addition, the products and methods used for neck exfoliation should be consistent with those used on the face.

Body

Although the skin on the body is relatively thick, there is no need to use extra force; the principle is to be as gentle as possible. Many people think that their skin is thick and are afraid that they cannot exfoliate thoroughly. Exerting too much force can lead to redness, swelling and peeling. They also mistakenly believe that this is the only way to exfoliate thoroughly. This is actually a wrong concept.

How should I exfoliate my body since it has a large area? You can first classify the rougher areas such as elbows, knees, and soles of feet into one category, and use the dry application method, that is, gently exfoliate the skin before the body touches water. Because exfoliating creams used on the body usually contain abrasive particles, these particles will dissolve more or less when they come into contact with water, so dry application is more effective in exfoliating and is suitable for rough areas. Wet other parts with water and then apply wet compress to exfoliate.

Draw a circle from bottom to top

The correct way to exfoliate your body is to start from the bottom up, from the soles of the feet, heels, ankles all the way up to the torso, then use large circles for large areas and small circles for small areas. Be very gentle when applying pressure. In addition, every inch of skin on the body is suitable for exfoliation.

Many people think that the skin on areas such as the buttocks, belly, and chest is more delicate and fragile, so exfoliation may not be a good idea. However, as long as you use the right amount of force and choose the right exfoliating product, you can exfoliate the skin all over your body. There are some parts of the body that are most often neglected by women, such as the wrinkles at the lower edge of the buttocks and the groin. Due to factors such as sitting for a long time or often wearing tight pants, the skin becomes dull and rough. Regular exfoliation can enhance metabolism and make the skin look smoother.
