Can I exfoliate if my skin is thin?

In our lives, many people have very sensitive skin. Some people have very thin stratum corneum. When they use some makeup removers, they are likely to have skin allergies. Moreover, if the stratum corneum is thin, the red blood under the skin will appear on the surface of the skin, which will make the whole person look like a plateau red, which will affect the appearance. So, can people with thin skin exfoliate?

Thin skin does not need exfoliation.

Thin skin is what we usually call a thin stratum corneum. The stratum corneum has the function of resisting external stimuli. If the stratum corneum is thin, the resistance to the outside world is already relatively low. If you continue to exfoliate, the stratum corneum will become thinner and the resistance to the outside world will further decrease. The skin will be easily sensitive, which will cause great damage to the skin in the long run.

People with thin skin also need to exfoliate, but the exfoliation interval should be longer. The skin metabolism cycle is generally 28 days. Girls with skin like this can exfoliate once a month to a month and a half. It is better to choose mild exfoliating products to reduce skin irritation. It is not advisable to choose an exfoliating cream containing scrub particles, as this will make the skin thinner and more prone to allergies.

It is generally not recommended to exfoliate or only exfoliate once a month, using a high-quality exfoliating product. It is recommended to apply sunscreen after washing in the morning to protect the skin from damage, and it must be removed first at night.

Modern people often slow down their metabolism due to exposure to deteriorating external environmental conditions, unbalanced diet, irregular lifestyle, staying up late, smoking, drinking, emotional factors and other factors. Abnormal metabolism prevents keratin cells from falling off naturally, and they accumulate thickly on the surface, causing rough and dull skin. The skin care products applied are often blocked by this overly thick barrier and cannot be absorbed by the living cells below. Therefore, we need to prevent the thickening of the cuticle. The surface of the skin metabolizes every week. Excessive accumulation of dead skin cells on the skin will cause a burden on the skin. Therefore, exfoliation is used to remove the dead skin cells on the surface of the skin and let the skin breathe again.
