Does Juice Fasting Really Work?

Does Juice Fasting Really Work?

With the development of the Internet, more and more health-preserving methods that have no scientific basis are being sought after by everyone. If you come across one that is harmless, it's fine, but if you come across one that can cause harm to your body, then the gain will outweigh the loss. Therefore, it is recommended that you do not easily try health-preserving methods that have no scientific basis on the Internet. Let’s take a look at whether fasting and detox juice detoxification are really effective?

There is no scientific basis or medical report to support the detoxification therapy of intermittent fasting through drinking juice alone. Although juice does have certain nutritional value, it is definitely not as magical as advertised. It is an extremely accidental short-term attempt that generally will not harm the body, but it will not have any obvious effect.

If you normally have an unhealthy diet and eat very few fruits and vegetables, you may feel your skin improve after doing this juice cleanse, and your bowel movements become normal or frequent. If you don't eat for a few days, you may feel a little lighter. But in this case, you can just add fruits and vegetables and whole grains to your normal diet.

Many people lose weight after a juice cleanse, but don't think you've found an easy and quick way to lose weight. Most juice cleanses have less than 1,000 total calories per day. When you don't consume enough, your body turns to glycogen for energy. Once the glycogen is used up, it turns to triglycerides and muscle protein.

And because you are always drinking liquids, you will go to the toilet more often. So in general, weight loss is not due to fat burning. Your muscle mass and body water will be lost. If it lasts too long, it may cause bone loss. What's even more sad is that once you stop detoxifying and resume eating, the effect will most likely rebound.

From the above information, it can be seen that the fasting juice detoxification method is not effective, and it will cause harm to the body in the long run. Fasting is not enough to detoxify. The human body's daily life activities require food, and the nutritional value of juice cannot meet human needs, so it is recommended that you do not try the fasting juice detoxification method.
