Rough skin on both sides of nose

Rough skin on both sides of nose

The rough skin on both sides of the nose is most likely caused by seborrheic dermatitis, and this roughness is obviously inconsistent with the condition of the surrounding skin. This condition is very likely to occur after the age of 30, and is most likely to occur in areas where the sebaceous glands are well developed. Is the rough skin on both sides of the nose caused by seborrheic dermatitis? After we understand this disease, we can make a comprehensive judgment based on our own situation.

Causes

1. Eating too fatty and greasy food, consuming too much sugar and fat, drinking too much alcohol, overeating spicy and greasy food, endocrine dysfunction and digestive dysfunction.

2. Acne. If adolescent acne vulgaris or adult acne (toxic acne) is not treated in time or is treated improperly, it will cause seborrheic dermatitis.

3. Improper care and abuse of skin care products will damage the skin's own water and oil balance function, and disrupt the skin's water and oil metabolism. The pH value of healthy skin surface is about 5.2-5.5, which is not conducive to bacterial growth. Due to the invasion of chemical substances (cosmetics, skin care products, perm and dye agents), increased sebum secretion and changes in chemical composition, the inhibitory effect of bacteria is reduced, causing the normal bacteria present on the skin surface, such as Staphylococcus, Malassezia and Streptococcus, to multiply in large numbers, invade the skin and cause disease.

4. Improper treatment and medication: Nowadays, many improper treatments and medications are another cause of seborrheic dermatitis. Without knowing your own condition, taking medications without the guidance of a doctor or using some inappropriate medications will often have the opposite effect. The treatment of seborrheic dermatitis is multifaceted. Since each person's symptoms are different, the treatment methods are also different, but the skin diseases in this area should be similar! Commonly used drugs such as steroid drugs such as dermatitis are not easy to use for a long time. Pay attention to the quantity! Long-term use of hormones will cause drug dependence! Frequent use of cosmetics that are highly irritating to the skin should also be taken into consideration during treatment.

5. Metabolic disorders, genetic factors, vitamin B deficiency, physical and chemical stimulation, frequent scratching or use of alkaline detergents can aggravate the onset of seborrheic dermatitis.

6. Mental stress, overwork, bacterial infection. On the basis of excessive sebum secretion, seborrheic dermatitis may be secondary to fungal (Pityrosporum ovale) and bacterial (Propionibacterium acnes) infections, complicated by acne symptoms; it may also be secondary to allergic reactions to fungi and bacteria, and the body's own immune response may also be secondary to the occurrence of eczema-like lesions and disseminated seborrheic dermatitis.

7. It is related to gonadal secretion disorder and is caused by hypersecretion of androgen. In addition, such as female menstrual syndrome. Some believe that it may be related to immune, genetic, hormonal, neural and environmental factors.

Symptoms of seborrheic dermatitis

1. Typical skin lesions are dark yellow-red spots, plaques or maculopapules with clear edges, covered with greasy scales or crusts. The clinical manifestations vary slightly due to the different locations of the lesions;

2. The rash is more likely to occur on the scalp, eyebrows, eyelids, nose and sides, behind the ears, neck, chest and upper back interscapular area, armpits, groin, umbilicus and other areas with abundant sebaceous glands;

3. Subjective symptoms include varying degrees of itching;

4. Infant seborrheic dermatitis often occurs in the first month after birth. The lesions are mostly on the scalp, forehead, between the eyebrows and cheeks. They are exudative red patches with yellow crusts on them.

5. Common symptoms of seborrheic dermatitis in adults: oily, dry or mixed, and itchy. Skin surface symptoms such as desquamation and erythema are more obvious.
