How to relieve spots on cheeks?

In traditional Chinese medicine theory, spots are related to the body's internal organs, qi and blood. At the same time, skin aging is also the main cause of spots, so if people want to prevent spots, they must have a way to maintain their youth. Having spots on the face is the most troublesome thing. Not only are they difficult to cure, but they will also greatly reduce your image. So, how to relieve the spots on the cheeks?

Mitigation methods

To prevent spots on your face, you should pay attention to the following aspects:

(1) Spots are related to diseases. If you are sick, you should seek medical treatment, especially gynecological diseases. If you find breast hyperplasia, dysmenorrhea, irregular menstruation, etc., you should see a doctor.

(2) Sleep and diet are very important to the skin, especially sleep. Even if it is just closing your eyes for 10 minutes, your skin will only be radiant if it is not lacking in oxygen and water. At the same time, you should drink more water, more soup, and eat more fruits. Of course, the high-quality protein in eggs and lean meat is also helpful for smooth and delicate skin.

(3) Sugar should be supplemented appropriately in the summer because organs such as the liver, kidneys, and spleen all need sugar. Women with healthy organs have dark hair and rosy skin.

(4) Sun protection, because most wrinkles and spots are caused by photoaging. Therefore, you should start to protect yourself from the sun from adolescence. Hats, parasols, and sunscreen skin care products are all good helpers in sun protection.

Differential diagnosis of facial spots:

chloasma

Traditional Chinese medicine calls it black spots, which are light brown or dark brown patches of varying sizes, with clean boundaries and irregular shapes. They do not protrude from the skin and have no obvious symptoms, but they affect the appearance. It often occurs on the face, and is basically symmetrically distributed in the zygomatic forehead, nose, cheeks, and around the mouth. More common in middle-aged women. The depth of color has a certain seasonality, with the color becoming darker in summer and lighter in winter. Melasma is a skin problem that troubles middle-aged women. The spots on the skin make beautiful and fair skin disappear forever. The main factors that lead to the formation of chloasma: the external cause is mainly ultraviolet damage, and the internal cause is related to endocrine. Melasma can be classified into:

Liver spots

Liver diseases such as cirrhosis, hepatitis, and impaired liver function can cause dark and yellow skin and facial pigmentation. (Chinese medicine calls this liver qi stagnation type: it refers to worry, anger, and emotional frustration that affect the liver's ability to release qi and cause it to stagnate and form spots)

Pregnancy spots

Unstable hormone levels. Theoretical studies have shown that excessive estrogen can stimulate melanocytes, increasing the secretion of melanin granules, and progesterone can promote pigmentation. During pregnancy, women's progesterone and estrogen levels increase, and spotting occurs due to endocrine changes. In addition, the pituitary gland, adrenal glands, gonads and thyroid gland have a great influence on the amount of melanin secreted. (Chinese medicine calls it kidney deficiency and fire dryness type: it is caused by pregnancy and childbirth, excessive sexual intercourse, long-term illness, loss of yin essence, water cannot control fire, and fire dryness on the face, resulting in spots.)

Butterfly Spots

It often occurs on the nose and cheeks in the shape of a butterfly. Long-term mental stress, depression, lack of sleep and fatigue will reduce the skin's ability to resist ultraviolet rays, leading to the occurrence of facial sun spots and dark spots. (Chinese medicine calls it spleen deficiency and blood weakness type: it refers to overwork, improper diet, worrying about the spleen, dampness and heat blocking the face and forming brown spots)

Sun spots

Long-wave ultraviolet rays can make the skin darker (called tanning), while medium-wave ultraviolet rays can burn the deep layers of the skin, causing redness and blisters (called sun spots). Excessive exposure to ultraviolet rays is an important reason for the rapid increase of pigmentation and the precipitation of pigmentation into spots. When the skin is exposed to strong ultraviolet rays, the skin's self-protection function comes into play and a large amount of melanin is produced to resist the invasion of ultraviolet rays. Hyperpigmentation can leave unsightly spots on the face or make freckles appear more prominent. (Chinese medicine calls this the wind-heat accumulation skin type: it refers to the accumulation of wind-heat evil in the skin due to sun exposure, which results in congestion and spots.)

freckle

It is a common skin disfigurement. Its occurrence is often related to genetics. If one parent has freckles, the child has a 50% chance of inheriting the condition. The surface is smooth, not protruding from the skin, and there are no subjective symptoms. Freckles tend to be concentrated on the nose. Some people have them all over the face. They usually begin to appear in adolescence and are likely to accompany people for life. This type of spot cannot be forcibly treated with drugs, but can be slowly faded with the help of freckle-removing skin care products. The color of freckles deepens after sun exposure and fades in autumn and winter.

Traumatic black spots

In the early years, people used some strong bleaching ingredients and strong peeling to quickly eliminate the pigmentation on their faces; long-term external use of hormone ointments and products containing heavy metal ingredients will cause cumulative poisoning of the skin, which not only causes damage to the skin, but also precipitates heavy metals in the skin, making the skin prone to melanin formation, and the original elegant toxins will also attack together, causing difficult-to-cure melanosis.
