What is the order of sunscreen and primer?

When applying makeup, the order of applying makeup is mainly based on the size of the product's molecular structure. The smaller the molecules, the easier they are to be absorbed by the skin, so they should be applied first. Large molecules are not easy to be absorbed by the skin, so they should be applied last. This is also the order for applying sunscreen, primer and makeup primer. Avoid the situation where the desired effect is not achieved due to improper application order.

The order of sunscreen and primer

1. If you are not sure which of two products should be applied first and which later, if you want to apply two essences, you might as well look at the texture of the products before deciding.

2. As for the isolation cream, sunscreen and primer you mentioned, their functions are different: the isolation cream has larger molecules, like a protective film covering the skin, which can isolate dirt and pollutants in the air (after all, our air is still too dirty);

Needless to say, sunscreen can absorb or isolate (different sunscreens work in different principles) UVA and UVB in the sun's ultraviolet rays to prevent tanning and skin aging; primer is used for applying makeup, has a larger molecular structure, and can fill in the uneven areas on the skin's surface, making the skin look smoother and making it easier to apply foundation, eye shadow, etc., while also protecting the skin. Some good primers come with skin-correcting colors (such as lavender, light blue, light yellow, etc.) or contain trace amounts of pearlescent particles, which can help you cover up skin blemishes and make your skin texture and transparency look better.

4. I also think that using all three at the same time is a bit too much. After all, the skin needs to breathe, and if you apply too many layers, the skin will feel uncomfortable. It is recommended that you only apply a barrier cream when the ultraviolet rays are not very strong (such as in winter); apply sunscreen when the ultraviolet rays are strong.

5. If you need to put on makeup, you can first apply sunscreen or isolation cream, then apply primer, and then apply foundation and makeup. Some foundations have built-in SPF protection, so after skin care, you only need to apply primer. How many layers to apply depends on the absorption and condition of your own skin. If the absorption is good, you can apply one more layer appropriately.

6. Finally, a reminder that no matter you have applied isolation cream, sunscreen, or primer, even if you are not wearing makeup, you need to remove makeup, otherwise it will be bad for your skin. Occasionally I will take a day off to not put on anything, just do some basic moisturizing to give my skin a rest.

The role of sun protection

Some skin hazards are difficult to avoid. For example, even if you have a bare face, you cannot escape ultraviolet rays and pollutants in the air. The second major function of isolation cream is to block these two irresistible natural factors.

Some isolation creams do not have sun protection function and can only have a "dust protection" effect. However, most isolation creams have a certain sun protection index, so they have a certain anti-ultraviolet function. Generally speaking, an SPF15 sun protection cream is enough for daily sun protection.
