2. Spleen and stomach damp-heat syndrome:

The main symptoms are continuous acne, which can be squeezed out into yellow-white rice-like lipid plugs, or pus, oily and shiny face, bad breath and bitter taste in the mouth, good and bad appetite, sticky and uncomfortable stools, red tongue with yellow greasy coating, and a stringy and rapid pulse. The treatment is mainly to clear dampness and heat. The commonly used prescription is Qinlian Pingwei San, and the main drugs are: Coptis chinensis, Scutellaria baicalensis, Atractylodes macrocephala, Magnolia officinalis, Hedyotis diffusa, Artemisia capillaris, Liuyi San, raw licorice, etc.

3. Blood stasis and phlegm coagulation syndrome:

The main symptoms are long-term acne, hard texture that is difficult to disappear, pain when touched, or facial unevenness like orange peel. Women may have symptoms such as scanty menstruation, dysmenorrhea, aggravated acne during menstruation, dark tongue with thin coating, and sluggish pulse. This type is more common in patients with long-term chronic acne.
