Over time, the affected area gradually expands, and the small depression in the middle of the lesion surface produces yellow powder, which is mostly very small.

Periungual warts and subungual warts

Common warts that grow around or under the toenails are commonly known as periungual warts and basal warts. The surface is keratinized and looks like corns.

Lian Zongqiu

Refers to multiple warts (which most people think of as female monkeys). Later, the number gradually increases to several, dozens, or even hundreds.

Initially it appears as a wart-like growth ranging in size from a needle tip to a mung bean, hemispherical or polygonal, protruding from the surface, grayish white or dirty yellow in color, with a fluffy and dry surface, shaped like a flower stamen, rough and hard. Later, the volume gradually increases and develops into a papillary growth, which is a primary lesion, called a mother wart. Since then, the number has increased due to autoinoculation.

There are usually two or three, but may be more than ten or even dozens, and sometimes they may appear in clusters. It often occurs on the fingers, back of hands, and can also be seen on the head and face. Those that grow on the edge of the nail can spread under the nail. When growing larger, they can lift the nail up, causing pain or becoming boils along the nail. Warts that grow on the scalp, fingers or toes are like finger-like protrusions and are called digital warts. The disease has a chronic course and can resolve spontaneously. There are generally no subjective symptoms and it is easy to bleed due to scratching, collision, and friction.
