The hot summer is coming, and the beauty-loving ladies have to think about how to do a good job of sun protection and whitening in summer. We all know that summer is the season when we are most likely to get tanned, so it is important for each of us to do proper sun protection. So let me give you some tips and tell you how to protect yourself from the sun the most correctly.
1. Avoid exposure to the sun and apply sunscreen before going out This point should be easy for everyone to understand. The reason why we tend to get darker in the summer is that the summer sun is too strong. We should avoid being exposed to the sun. Especially in summer, you must apply sunscreen 20 minutes before going out (including before getting off work). Otherwise, if you go out right after applying it, your skin will be exposed to direct ultraviolet rays without any protection. In addition, you should wear a hat, hold an umbrella, wear sunglasses, and wear long-sleeved clothes as much as possible. Even if you use a parasol, you should apply sunscreen because ultraviolet rays will be reflected from the ground to your face.
2. Don’t ignore the key areas of sun protection In terms of the height of facial features, since the above-mentioned positions are all highlight areas, the raised areas are more likely to attract ultraviolet rays, and insufficient sun protection can easily lead to spots. Therefore, you can increase the sunscreen factor appropriately to avoid uneven skin tone. PA+++ is the most suitable choice for outdoor use at the beach. In addition, the corners of our mouth and the sides of our nose are also easily overlooked. After applying sunscreen all over your face, you can gently apply more sunscreen with your middle finger to prevent uneven application.
3. Sunscreen must be reapplied No matter how powerful the sunscreen is, you need to reapply it. Even if it is waterproof, it will be wiped off by the towel you use when swimming. So, remember to reapply sunscreen. If you are outdoors in a hot and stuffy environment and sweat a lot, you may need to reapply every less than an hour; if you are in a cool indoor environment without sunlight exposure, you only need to reapply every 5-6 hours.
4. Waterproof sunscreen needs to be removed Non-waterproof sunscreen can be washed off with warm water, but for waterproof sunscreen, because of its long-lasting and waterproof formula, washing it off with facial cleanser is like "taking a shower through clothes". Therefore, it is the most effective and gentle way to remove it by first using makeup remover oil to "dissolve oil with oil". If you don't remove makeup thoroughly, it can easily clog your pores and cause acne.
5. Wear enough sunscreen We say that you must apply enough sunscreen. If you only apply a little bit of sunscreen, it is actually not much different from not applying it. According to research, even with a high-power sunscreen of SPF50, if the amount applied is less than half of the standard, it will only have a protective effect of about SPF4, and the natural protective function of human skin is also around SPF4. The amount of cream texture is about the size of 2 peanuts, and the amount of lotion texture is about the equivalent of 2 dimes. Apply one of them first, and then apply the other after 10-15 minutes. This will make it easier to apply evenly. Be careful not to miss the ears and neck.
6. Apply sunscreen carefully Sunscreen is applied by patting. Take an appropriate amount between your fingers or on your palms, gently blend it, and then pat it evenly on the areas that need sun protection. Sunscreen molecules are very large, so don't rub or massage them too much to force them into the pores. Doing so will easily cause "mud" and clog the pores, which will reduce the sunscreen's effectiveness.
7. Wear sunscreen even in cloudy weather Even in cloudy weather, you should still wear sunscreen because UVA rays are present even on cloudy days. You can't feel it, but it is the main cause of skin cancer, wrinkles and decreased immunity (UVA can penetrate transparent glass without UV protection coating). Clouds have almost no shielding effect on UVA ultraviolet rays. All UVA ultraviolet rays can penetrate the clouds, which means that 90% of ultraviolet rays can penetrate the clouds. Only the thick cumulonimbus clouds in dim weather can block some ultraviolet rays. Therefore, the product you choose must also look for sunscreen containing PA value. The index can be SPE15, PA+ is enough.
8. Choose a low SPF sunscreen and apply it multiple times For sensitive skin, if you are not doing outdoor activities, it is best to choose a low-index sunscreen, because the higher the SPF, the better the sun protection effect is not necessarily the case. On the contrary, the higher the SPF index, the more chemicals it contains, and the greater the damage to the skin. Therefore, for office ladies or people with fragile skin, it is best to choose a low-factor sunscreen and apply it multiple times.
9. Supplement the body with more vitamin C and antioxidants Apply more vitamin C and active ingredients to your skin. It protects the skin, fights against air pollutants, and repairs sun damage. Eat more foods that contain antioxidants, such as green foods, blueberries, cantaloupe and various melons. These foods can increase the collagen in your skin. Additionally, both salmon and egg white can moisturize the skin and repair skin damage.
10. After sun repair, the first step is to calm and moisturize The first thing to do after sun exposure is not to whiten the skin immediately, but to replenish water. Don’t think that you don’t need to replenish water because you sweat a lot in summer. In fact, sweat takes away the moisture in the skin. Especially after being exposed to the sun, the skin loses a lot of moisture and the skin will be very dry. Whitening work will not be effective at this time. Therefore, first use soothing and hydrating products to replenish the skin with sufficient moisture, repair it first and then whiten it. |
