Liquid foundation and pressed powder

Liquid foundation and pressed powder

Many people love to put on makeup in their daily lives. Liquid foundation or pressed powder is indispensable in the makeup routine, which can also make the skin more delicate and fair. But do you know much about liquid foundation and pressed powder? Do you know what the difference is between them? Do you know what their functions and effects are? In fact, there are some differences in the effects of liquid foundation and pressed powder in the makeup process.

Liquid foundation and pressed powder are both common makeup tools. Knowing more about these two cosmetics will help you know which one is more suitable for you when you put on makeup. If you want to achieve better makeup effects, the combination of these two will be more perfect. Let's take a look below.

Today's liquid foundations all have more or less isolation and sun protection functions, so in fact it can protect our skin from damage by makeup, external pollution and ultraviolet rays to a certain extent, and at the same time it can also prevent pores from being clogged due to powder cosmetics. Compared with pressed powder, liquid foundation has much better natural whitening and blemish-covering effects. It can better combine our own skin tone with the color of pressed powder, so using liquid foundation will make the makeup look natural, and using liquid foundation can also make powder and makeup last longer. The skin tone is also more even and natural, without the effect of applying a layer of "white flour". However, I always feel oily after using the foundation (this may be because my skin is oily.

Pressed powder itself has a sunscreen effect. Even the cheapest pressed powder can protect the skin from damage by ultraviolet rays. The biggest benefit of applying powder is that it can make our skin look as beautiful and perfect as a porcelain doll (of course, this depends on a person’s innate skin conditions. It’s difficult for me to achieve that effect, hehe). The concealing effect of pressed powder is also quite obvious. Of course, the drier the powder, the weaker the concealing effect, but the more natural the makeup effect created. Because the wetter the powder is, the thicker it will be when applied on the face. For example, wet powder has the best concealing effect but its makeup looks the most fake, while dry powder has limited concealing effect but the makeup looks very natural. Therefore, I personally think that wet and dry dual-purpose powder is more practical and more affordable. After all, you can achieve two effects with the price of one powder. Loose powder is the driest of all powders and is mostly in powder form. Its main function is to set makeup. Another great advantage of powder is that it is easy to touch up, especially for girls with oily skin. Pressed powder can absorb excess oil secreted by the face, making us look cleaner and more beautiful.

So I think liquid foundation and pressed powder are best used together for the best practical effect. Is liquid foundation better or pressed powder? After all, their functions are different. If you only use liquid foundation, it may look oily, and if you only use pressed powder, the makeup may look fake (if the color of the pressed powder is not suitable, it may easily give the effect of applying a layer of "white powder") and it is easy to come off. However, if you want a natural look, don’t wear much makeup, and are lucky enough to have normal skin, you can also use liquid foundation alone. Of course, if you are very fair and like to wear makeup, there is nothing wrong with using only pressed powder.

Liquid foundation and pressed powder both have their own advantages. When choosing, you must pay attention to their brand, quality and color. The whiter the better. It must be close to your skin color so that the makeup effect will be natural. At the same time, I would like to remind everyone that if you usually wear makeup, you must remove it in time before going to bed to give your skin a chance to breathe.
