Is it okay to ignore blackheads on nose?

For many people, when it comes to blackheads, the first thing that comes to mind is to eliminate them. But some friends may ask, is it okay to ignore the blackheads on the nose? In fact, it is completely possible, but because the appearance of blackheads is mainly caused by clogged skin pores, if not treated, it will have a certain impact on our skin, so if it is convenient, you still have to deal with the blackheads.

First let’s understand what blackheads are

Blackheads are hardened oil blockages, mainly a kind of "plug"-like substance composed of sebum, cell debris and bacteria, which blocks the opening of hair follicles. Blackhead removal refers to removing blackheads on the face by chemical, physical, medical, and folk remedies to achieve the purpose of beauty.

You should know that blackheads are formed due to excessive dirt and oil. Therefore, if you want to completely remove blackheads, deep cleansing and skin care is the most basic and most important thing.

Type 1 blackheads – large pore blackheads

The shape of blackheads under the skin is actually teardrop-shaped. If you squeeze it, it will open your pores as it passes through them. Once the pores are opened, it is difficult to heal. If you squeeze your pores frequently, they will become habitually inflamed and the surface of your skin will grow abnormally, becoming uneven. As a result, the pores become larger and larger, and the blackheads also become larger and larger, creating a vicious cycle.

Solution:

1. Get the right time for cleaning: wash your face twice every day when you get home. One time is when you remove your makeup, and you can take a shower after writing it. The heat from the shower opens your pores, so washing your face a second time can help clean blackheads better.

2. Make good use of cleaning tools: After the pores are opened, you can use some cleaning tools to remove the blackheads that emerge from the pores.

Dry skin: Use konjac facial cleanser. Because of its soft texture, it will not excessively rub the skin and can also increase the moisture of the skin.

Oily skin: Bamboo charcoal face wash. Cleans blackheads in pores with suction.

The second type of blackheads - small pore blackheads

Some girls have very small pores, which may even form closed comedones. For small pore acne problems like this, you should never squeeze them with your hands, otherwise they will develop into large pore blackheads.

Solution:

1. Open skin pores: You should also seize the time when the pores open after taking a bath. If you don’t take a shower, you can also use a facial steamer. Keep your face away from the steamer, about 15-20cm. If you don’t have a facial steamer, you can prepare a basin of hot water, and place your face 15-20cm away from the basin. Use a large towel to cover your head and basin to prevent the steam from escaping. It should be noted that the steaming time should not be too long, 3 minutes is enough.

2. Use a mild blackhead removing mask to clean blackheads: Skin with small pores is usually not as oily as skin with large pores, so the friction on the skin surface should be reduced as much as possible. You can use the ingredients in the cleansing mask to dissolve and remove blackheads.

Type 3 Blackheads – Blackheads on Sensitive Skin

Sensitive skin is usually less prone to acne and blackheads, but if you do, it means you don’t clean your skin well enough. Therefore, for sensitive skin, cleansing is more important than removing blackheads.

Solution:

1. Use mild makeup remover and cleansing products for cleaning. It can be used with mild facial cleansing tools such as konjac.

2. Use mild pore-tightening products to shrink pores.

3. Products for sensitive skin can repair sensitive problems.

If you can’t remove blackheads no matter what you do, then you may have fallen into a misunderstanding about blackhead removal.

Myth 1: Using nose strips to remove blackheads

When I first started using nose strips, I felt indescribably relieved when I saw that the strips were covered with blackheads. But once you develop the habit of using nose strips, blackheads will haunt you like a nightmare. However, it is okay to use it occasionally. Remember to shrink the pores. It is recommended to use strong astringent water.

Myth 2: Use blackhead removal solution + acne needle to pick out blackheads

The blackhead extraction fluid will make the blackheads float out, and then you can remove them by scraping them with an acne needle. This method can only deal with blackheads that have just formed. If it is a stubborn blackhead, the epidermis must be opened to squeeze the blackhead out. Not to mention us, even the so-called beauticians in beauty salons may not be able to do this technical work well. Don’t think that the more painful it is when you scrape your face with the acne needle, the cleaner it is. Feeling pain is not normal, and your skin is suffering.

Myth 3: If you clean thoroughly, blackheads won’t appear again

Blackheads are hardened oil blockages. They appear because the oil in the skin is not discharged in time. Over time, the oil hardens and blocks the pores. The nose is the most oily part of the body. If it is not cleaned in time, the oil will mix with the accumulated dead skin cells and form small black spots. Although incomplete cleaning can lead to more severe oil accumulation, the key to removing blackheads is actually a combination of cleansing and oil control.

Myth 4: Blackheads on the nose are most easily squeezed out with your hands

When we look in the mirror and see the protruding blackheads on our nose, we can't help but squeeze them with our hands. In fact, this is a very unhygienic method, because there are a lot of bacteria on our hands, which can easily lead to skin infections. Moreover, it is difficult to squeeze out stubborn blackheads with the fingertips. You have to use your fingernails to squeeze them hard, which can damage the skin and even leave marks.
