How to use foundation cream

Foundation cream is a form of foundation. Generally, you need to use foundation cream before applying makeup. Of course, if you don’t wear makeup, you can also use foundation to improve your skin tone and make yourself look more flawless. However, I believe that many female friends are not very clear about how to use foundation cream. Below, I will introduce to you in detail the usage and precautions of foundation cream!

1. Foundation cream color selection

Foundation cream comes in many colors. Use the one that is closest to your neck skin tone. Apply a little foundation cream to the lower part of your cheek and see if the color matches the skin tone of your neck. If it does not match, choose a lighter or darker color and try it on the lower cheek. Note: The color used in summer may be darker than that used in winter because the skin is darker in summer.

2. How to use foundation cream

After choosing the color, use a sponge or your fingers to apply four or five dots of foundation cream to your forehead, chin, nose, etc. Use a sponge or your fingers (note: your fingers must be clean) to apply from the nose outward to the cheeks, forehead, hair roots, around the eyes, roots of eyelashes and under the eyebrows. Don't apply too thickly, just a thin layer. If it's too thick, wipe some off with a damp sponge. If you apply foundation with a damp sponge, you can make the liquid foundation look more translucent. Note: In winter, people with dry skin must use facial cream to further moisturize their skin before using foundation cream; people with oily skin also need to use it in moderation, but perhaps not in summer.

3. Precautions for using foundation cream

Remember: when covering dark spots and birthmarks, use your fingers to apply a few dabs of foundation.

The biggest mistake many people make when using foundation cream is choosing a foundation cream that is lighter than their skin tone, thinking that this will make their skin look fair and beautiful. In fact, this can have the opposite effect because it makes the skin color of the face inconsistent with the rest of the body, especially the neck, as if you were wearing a mask. The correct approach is: choose a color that is close to your skin tone. This is especially important when applying makeup during the day.

Women with many wrinkles at the corners of their eyes should pay attention: Never apply too much foundation cream on the wrinkles, as this will make the wrinkles appear more prominent.
