Closed needle scar removal

Closed needle scar removal

Blockade is very common for athletes, because athletes need to do some sports, which often lead to various injuries. Because they have to play in the game, they can only suppress the pain by injecting blockade needles, which can also achieve a local paralysis effect. Blockade needles are mainly used to treat various inflammations and ligament injuries, and cannot remove scars. There are other ways to remove scars.

Periarthritis of the shoulder, tennis elbow, tenosynovitis, lumbar muscle strain, supraspinous ligament injury, interspinous ligament injury, transverse process syndrome of the third lumbar vertebra, lumbar disc herniation and various bursitis have common lesions, namely soft tissue injury and aseptic inflammation. For this, doctors often choose blockade therapy, which is a "blockade injection". The so-called blockade therapy usually involves injecting a certain concentration and amount of prednisolone injection and procaine hydrochloride into the affected area. Blocked injections can be performed in muscles, joints, fascia, tendons and even within the spinal canal.

Commonly used drugs

Hormones are active substances produced by the human body's endocrine organs and can produce physiological effects. There are many types of hormones, such as sex hormones, thyroid hormone and insulin. However, there seems to be an unwritten agreement and tacit understanding among doctors. If ×× hormone is not specifically mentioned, the hormone refers to the cortisone-like substances secreted by the adrenal cortex (also known as corticosteroids). Its artificial imitation products have roughly similar functions and are also called the same name.

Their discovery and clinical application have a history of more than half a century. Adrenal cortex hormones are widely used in medicine. They are the nemesis of allergies of all kinds; they also have immunosuppressive effects and can be used for diseases caused by abnormal immune responses. They are favored by doctors in every specialty of clinical medicine.

Treatment options

Orthopedic surgeons value them for treating the various pain conditions mentioned above, primarily for their anti-inflammatory effects. They can improve the permeability of capillaries, inhibit inflammatory responses, and reduce the damage of pathogenic factors to the body. Procaine (also known as novocaine) is a local anesthetic used at the same time. It is used for local anesthesia during tooth extraction and minor surgery. It can relieve pain and enhance the effect. Its analogue lidocaine is sometimes used, with similar effects.

Do I need to get it again after I've had the "blocking injection"? We know that these hormones are not addictive. However, long-term use can lead to habit and dependence. Habitual disease is caused by long-term and repeated use of hormones to relieve symptoms, which forms a conditioned reflex. After stopping the medication, the patient feels uncomfortable or fearful. At this time, after giving a small amount of hormones, the symptoms quickly disappear. Dependence means that after certain diseases are treated with hormones, the symptoms are completely controlled or partially relieved. However, if the hormones are suddenly stopped or the dosage is reduced too quickly, the original disease will relapse or worsen, resulting in the so-called "rebound" phenomenon.

Both of these situations may only occur after long-term, high-dose, and repeated use of hormones. Orthopedics uses blockade therapy, usually once or several times depending on the condition of the disease. Each time interval is 7 to 10 days, and generally no more than 3 to 4 times in a row. If continued injections are required, the intervals will be long and the doses used will be small. Therefore, since the implementation of this treatment method, the phenomenon of "constant need for injections" has rarely occurred.

Scar removal methods

Once a scar is formed, it will never go away. Several commonly used scar treatment methods: scar excision and non-invasive suture; scar repair after expanding normal skin with a soft tissue expander; drug injection into the scar; scar grinding; topical drug spraying and coating, etc., can improve appearance and relieve scar hyperplasia. But one thing is certain, no treatment can completely eliminate scars. American scholars studied scar antibodies for immunotherapy of scars and threatened to win the Nobel Prize, but after three years, this immunotherapy has not yet been applied in clinical practice, and has not achieved the expected results. It can be seen that scar treatment is still a long journey.

Surgical skin grafting

Eligible skin from other parts of the body is cut and transplanted to the area after the scar is removed. This method is the most important one and can significantly improve severe scarring after transplantation, but it may leave scars on the part of the body where the skin is taken. The patient's own fat or dermis is usually used as the filling material. Generally, skin grafting surgery is charged according to three area specifications: large, medium, and small.

Loosening and reshaping

This is when the scar is removed and the incision is changed to a "Z" shape. This is most suitable for scars that have already formed webbed shapes. Webbed scars cause adhesions of the skin, especially hindering behavioral movements. Surgery is used to mobilize the skin tissue next to the scar to minimize the impact of the scar on body function.
