The difference between base lotion and essence

The difference between base lotion and essence

There are actually some differences between base lotion and essence, but they are both skin care products, so they are also essential skin care guards for women in life. However, because the products are different, the efficacy values are also different, so you should also pay attention before use. Let’s take a closer look at the differences between base lotion and essence, and what effects they have on the skin.

1. The difference and connection between base lotion and essence

Essence is an intensive care product that contains much more nutrients than ordinary creams. Essence primer is a product that provides a base for the skin. Its main function is to allow subsequent creams and essences to be absorbed more thoroughly. If you only use the essence without any other subsequent skin care products, then it is no different from ordinary toner. If you want your skin to absorb the essence better or want to maximize the effectiveness of the essence, you can use it with a base lotion.

2. The purpose of the base lotion

The purpose of essence base lotion is to open the subsequent absorption channels of the skin so that the essence can be better absorbed, and the toner is also to soften the cuticle and provide moisture to the epidermis. Therefore, if you are afraid that it will become sticky if you use too much, you can use essence base lotion instead of toner to complete the connecting role.

3. Correct steps for skin base lotion

It can promote the absorption of subsequent products. Therefore, it is used before essence and cream, and the application method is the same as that of essence or cream. If the product is completely absorbed immediately after application, it is recommended to apply it again. So the correct steps should be cleansing - toner - base lotion - lotion/cream.

4. Determine whether the base lotion is effective

How to judge the absorption degree of skin care products and whether the essence is effective? You can try this experiment on your face or hands. Use only skin care products (such as lotion) on one side, and use the essence on the other side first, and then use skin care products. After three minutes, observe the absorption on both sides. If the skin surface still feels sticky, it means it has not been absorbed. On the contrary, if it feels smooth and refreshing, it means most of it has been absorbed.
