Using the wrong cosmetics can lead to disfigurement!

Does alcohol irritate the skin? Does mineral oil enlarge pores? Does salicylic acid damage the stratum corneum? Can heavy metals cause dermatitis? Kidney failure? Today, I will give you a brief introduction to the ingredients of cosmetics.

1. Mercury, lead, cadmium

Mercury, lead and cadmium are all banned ingredients in cosmetics as they can cause skin poisoning. Ingredients that truly have whitening and freckle-removing effects, such as plant extracts such as sea buckthorn, licorice, and arbutin, can only work slowly, while products with excessive mercury have a quick whitening or freckle-removing effect because these ingredients can eat up human skin alive, causing peeling and making the skin look very white. Little do people know that products with excessive mercury and lead content can destroy the normal physiological structure of the skin, eventually causing abnormal skin pigmentation and melanosis, and even damage the nervous, digestive and endocrine systems, leading to symptoms such as organ damage and constipation.

2. Alcohol

Many girls think that products containing alcohol are not good, but in fact many big-name lotions contain alcohol. Alcohol has certain benefits for the skin. It can reduce inflammation and kill bacteria. It can also remove excess oil and dirt from the pores, thereby tightening the pores. The alcohol in the cosmetics we use has been specially treated, but when it evaporates it will take away moisture from the skin, making the skin dry; secondly, it will cause a certain degree of irritation to the skin. Therefore, if you have sensitive skin, try not to use lotions containing alcohol.

3. Mineral oil

It is often seen on the Internet that mineral oil can cause cancer, make pores larger and coarser, cause spots, etc. In fact, mineral oil has been used in the beauty industry for 100 years as a good additive in cosmetics. Mineral oil forms a protective film on the skin that locks in moisture and acts as an antioxidant. The famous La Mer also contains added mineral oil. Therefore, the quality of cosmetics cannot be judged by its individual ingredients alone. The quality of the raw materials and the production process determine its quality. However, if you are allergic to this ingredient, you should be careful when choosing products.
