Teeth are not smooth like frosted

Teeth are not smooth like frosted

People are gradually beginning to pay attention to the beauty of their teeth, and many people are going through medical procedures such as orthodontics and teeth whitening to make their teeth look better. Normal healthy teeth are delicate, shiny and very white. Having beautiful teeth will add points to your smile and make you look very sweet. Some people's teeth are not smooth, but look like frosted teeth. What's going on?

If the surface of teeth is rough and not smooth, it may be tartar or soft plaque. In this case, you need to go to the hospital for periodontal cleaning. This is something that is destructive to periodontal tissue and must be cleaned. It is recommended that you go to the hospital for a face-to-face consultation and examination.

Causes of formation

1. As the carbon dioxide concentration in saliva decreases, inorganic salts are precipitated on the surface of teeth.

2. It is formed when the phosphatase of degenerated cells hydrolyzes organic phosphorus to produce phosphorus that precipitates on the surface of teeth.

3. Because bacteria increase the acidity and alkalinity of saliva, the protein in saliva decomposes, releasing calcium salts, which precipitate on the surface of teeth.

4. It is related to the concentration of saliva. The higher the concentration, the easier it is to precipitate.

The speed, shape and hardness of tartar formation vary from person to person. Generally speaking, it takes twelve to fifteen hours for new tartar to form. Rapidly formed tartar is softer and more fragmented than slowly formed tartar. All newly formed dental plaque is soft and will gradually harden after a period of calcification. Therefore, it is easy to remove dental tartar by using oral cleaning or brushing when it is just beginning to form, but it becomes difficult to remove once it has calcified.

Dental tartar is a foreign body in the oral cavity. It will constantly stimulate the periodontal tissue, compress the gums, affect blood circulation, cause bacterial infection of the periodontal tissue, cause inflammation and atrophy of the gums, and form periodontal pockets.

Once periodontal pockets are formed, it is easier for food debris, dental plaque and tartar to accumulate. This new accumulation further damages the deeper periodontal membrane. As a result of this continuous vicious cycle, the periodontal supporting tissues are completely destroyed, and the teeth are eventually extracted.
