Can acne scars be repaired?

During adolescence, most people have experienced acne. Even if you have never had acne, you may still get acne for various reasons. Acne is easy to eliminate, but the acne holes left behind are not so easy to repair. However, as long as you pay attention to the method and persist in treatment, you can still repair acne scars. Acne scars are divided into black acne scars, red acne scars and concave acne scars. Here are some methods to repair acne scars.

1. Black acne marks

Black acne marks are caused by pigmentation after acne becomes inflamed, leaving dark and dirty colors in the places where red acne has appeared, making the skin dull. These black colors will actually disappear slowly over time. This is a temporary false scar and not a real scar. Treatments for black acne marks:

A. Use L-C essence and ultrasonic introduction to promote skin collagen production, which can speed up the fading of black acne marks.

B. After treatment, you can use external whitening skin care products (daily use) and fruit acid skin care products (night use) to enhance the therapeutic effect. On the one hand, it inhibits the production of melanin, and on the other hand, it promotes skin metabolism and accelerates the elimination of melanin. However, whitening skin care products and fruit acid skin care products are more effective in reducing melanin deposition, but are relatively less effective in fading red acne scars.

2. Red acne marks

The red spots are caused by inflammation of cells in the area where the acne originally occurred, which causes blood vessels to dilate. However, the blood vessels do not shrink immediately after the acne disappears, and a flat, red, temporary erythema is formed. It will become redder when the skin temperature rises or when you exercise. This erythema is not considered a scar and will gradually fade away within half a year. Treatments for red acne scars:

A. Pulsed light: It can shrink microvessels and reduce scars, but it requires multiple treatments. Pulsed light can also increase collagen in the dermis, making depressions less obvious and improving enlarged pores, so it is also suitable for skin with slight depressions.

B. Use skin care products containing fruit acid or household microdermabrasion products to promote the shedding of dead skin cells, help skin renewal, and improve pigmentation after acne.

C. Medication can be used for treatment.

3. Concave acne scars

Pit scars are a common condition. When acne becomes too inflamed and damages too much collagen in the dermis, pits may be left due to the collapse of the dermis. Many acne patients like to squeeze pimples with their hands. If the squeezing is improper, it will greatly increase the chance of suppurative infection, and it will easily turn small blackheads and pimples into big pimples, which will then leave scars. Once a hole is formed, it will not disappear automatically. Treatments for pitted acne scars:

A. Acne scar repair water: Apply acne scar repair water to the pits. After the pits turn white, wash it off with clean water 2-3 minutes later. Use once a week and a course of treatment is 3 months.

B. Fruit acid peel: Use high concentration of fruit acid to exfoliate the skin, promote the shedding of the old stratum corneum, accelerate the renewal rate of keratinocytes and a small number of upper epidermal cells, promote the proliferation of elastic fibers in the dermis, have a better effect on shallow pitted acne scars, and can also improve enlarged pores, but it takes multiple courses of treatment to eliminate acne scars. The advantage is that it is safe and has few side effects.

C. Filling method: For deeper pits, you can use the method of injecting implants (such as collagen) to make the sunken part bulge so that it is level with the surrounding skin tissue.

D. Laser dermabrasion: This method is suitable for deeper pits. The dermabrasion surgery can be performed according to the depth of the skin pits. It only takes 2 to 3 times to have good results, and the effect is more lasting. However, due to the large wound caused by laser dermabrasion, post-operative care is required. If the post-operative care is not done well, the skin may turn red or black.
