7 major differences tell you that skin care products cannot be mixed

1. The real difference between eye cream and face cream

Eye creams target the more sensitive and delicate areas of the face. In terms of properties, they can be either more diluted or thicker than face creams. In addition, all eye creams must pass ophthalmological testing before they can be sold, otherwise they may cause eye allergies. This is the main reason why facial creams cannot be used casually on the eyes.

In addition, the eyes do not contain sebaceous glands, so they are particularly sensitive to the component "oil". For young skin, eye creams with high oil content may not be absorbed around the eyes, resulting in the appearance of fat particles; while the aging eye skin needs more oil components, which is why most anti-aging eye creams have a higher oil content.

If you really need facial care products with high active ingredients and high nutrition, and you have enough money to spend, there is absolutely no problem in using eye cream on your face.

2. The real difference between body lotion and face cream

Compared to face creams, body lotions are usually more diluted to make them easier to apply to large areas of the body, and contain much lower levels of active ingredients than face creams. Some body moisturizers also contain more fragrance, which can sometimes cause skin irritation if used on the face. Facial creams contain higher levels of active ingredients as they need to deal with various issues related to facial skin. Again, if you have enough money and time, there is absolutely no problem in applying facial cream on your body.

3. The real difference between day cream and night cream

In fact, there is no difference in the essence of these two products. The difference is that different care ingredients are added according to the skin's day and night needs. It is not necessary to use day cream during the day and night cream at night, but it depends on the needs of your skin. If necessary, a highly moisturizing night cream can also be used during the day, as long as you do a good job of sun protection.

Day cream: Since the skin is affected by ultraviolet rays and pollution during the day, most day creams currently have sun protection, anti-oxidation, and even retouching functions.

Night cream: repairs skin damage during the day and replenishes nutrition. Therefore, the night cream contains higher levels of active ingredients and has a more moisturizing texture. However, some night creams that contain photosensitive ingredients (vitamin A, fruit acid, etc.) are not suitable for daytime use.

4. The real difference between neck cream and face cream

Neck creams usually have a tightening function and a moisturizing texture suitable for longer massages and are suitable for sensitive skin. If you care enough about taking care of every part of your body, or the skin on your neck shows your age earlier than other parts of your face, or your family has a genetic factor that makes the neck more prone to wrinkles, you can choose to use it.

5. The real difference between hand cream and body lotion

The only difference is that hand creams usually use more emollients than body oils and have a thicker, more nourishing texture. Generally, hands are washed frequently and require more protection from dryness. At the same time, hands are more exposed to the sun, so hand creams contain more repairing ingredients than body lotions.

6. The real difference between essence and cream

Essence has the highest concentration of active ingredients, and due to its small molecular weight and powerful transmission system, it is generally thinner in texture and easily transported into the deep layers of the skin. This is why essence must be used before facial cream. When it comes to solving skin problems, essence is undoubtedly more targeted than cream. However, it is difficult for essences to carry enough oily skin-revitalizing ingredients (such as vitamin E, oil-soluble amino acids, unsaturated fatty acids, etc.), so if you want to obtain these nutrients, you need to get them from facial cream.

7. The real difference between hand cream and foot cream

Hand cream can generally be used as foot cream, but we rarely use foot cream as hand cream. In addition to moisturizing, foot cream should also be able to deal with dryness and cracks. If you have similar issues with your hands, feel free to use it on them.
