Special cosmetics

Speaking of cosmetics, people will naturally think of daily skin care cosmetics such as moisturizers and makeup cosmetics such as mascaras. In fact, these moisturizers, mascaras, lipsticks, etc. in the general concept can all be called "cosmetics". The so-called special cosmetics are just a branch of cosmetics, which is a general term for a type of cosmetics with special functions.

In recent years, some companies that produce special-purpose cosmetics have exaggerated the effects of their products and portrayed themselves as omnipotent, which has disrupted the cosmetics market, caused frequent problems, and had a negative impact on consumers. Cosmetics are divided into general cosmetics and special cosmetics according to their functions. The so-called special cosmetics are nothing more than ordinary cosmetics.

According to Article 10 of the Regulations on Cosmetics Hygiene Supervision, special-purpose cosmetics refer to cosmetics used for hair growth, hair dyeing, perming, hair removal, breast enhancement, bodybuilding, deodorization, freckle removal, and sun protection. Article 56 of the Implementation Rules of the Cosmetics Hygiene Supervision Regulations clearly defines the meaning of nine types of special-purpose cosmetics:

1. Hair growth cosmetics refer to cosmetics that help promote hair growth and reduce hair loss and hair breakage.

2. Hair dye cosmetics refer to cosmetics that have the function of changing hair color.

3. Perming cosmetics refer to cosmetics that have the function of changing the curvature of hair and maintaining relative stability.

4. Hair removal cosmetics refer to cosmetics that have the function of reducing or eliminating body hair.

5. Breast-beautifying cosmetics refer to cosmetics that help to beautify the breasts.

6. Bodybuilding cosmetics refer to cosmetics that help to make the body shape beautiful.

7. Deodorant cosmetics refer to cosmetics that help eliminate underarm odor.

8. Anti-freckle cosmetics refer to cosmetics used to reduce skin epidermal pigmentation.

9. Sunscreen cosmetics refer to cosmetics that have the function of absorbing ultraviolet rays and reducing skin damage caused by sun exposure.

When consumers purchase special cosmetics, they must check carefully whether the special cosmetics have the approval number for special cosmetics issued by the State Food and Drug Administration to avoid purchasing unqualified products. However, even if you buy qualified special cosmetics, if they are not used correctly, they may cause harm to your body.
